Celtic Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I really need to find a 5 volt or higher e-cig model other then going to VaprLife. Any other place then VaprLife. Thank you so much for the help ... this will be a life saver ... I am in a hurry off to school but will be checking back and explaining more after school. Thank you! Celtic
Jeffb Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Hi Celtic. I would definitely recommend stepping up to a variable voltage unit. How much are you looking to spend?
TheGreen Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Same question here. If you have a price point I have a lot in mind.
nana Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I can't wait to hear the answers to this one. I love my Black Silver Bullet at 5v. It's only 5v as a PT though.

nana Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Where can I find it? How much does it run? Celtic You can find the Silver Bullet here: http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/silverbulletusa/altsilverbullet.html It's $85. for the unit alone. The 18650 battery for 3.7V vaping is extra. Now I'm stumped. I'm not finding the Passthrough for the SB, only the BB. Maybe they are out of stock? You can also use two RCR123A 3.0V batteries in the SB for 6V vaping. The BB ($85.) is similar to the SB, but runs on a 14500 battery instead. The Passthrough is listed for it. It costs $50. You do need the wall adapter to plug the Passthrough cable into for vaping at 5V.
DAYVAPE Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I've got a Smokie Black Metallic Vari-Volt Saber Touch coming.... check em out. My link

Jeffb Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 +1 on Franks recommendations. I'm interested in the Infinity but I see its out of stock. Is it released yet?

Brian Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Are the Infinity & Buzz a 5v or higher ... It does not say on the site. Thanks Celtic They are variable voltage... you can change the voltage from 3.7 up to 6+ volts (or something around that range).
Jolly Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 vv is great for when you are around others that want to vape. as for your settings, you will end up finding a voltage you like with w/e ohm you choose and stick with it. like me, i do only 5v with 3.2ohm cartos

Celtic Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 I have really been looking around and I am really liking The Prodigy V3.1 ... http://www.puresmoker.com/product_p/prodigyv3.htm ... Any suggestions on the The Prodigy V3.1 ... I also like the 801 atomizers on 5v or high models ... the e-juice in my opinion is way tastier then with the 901 or 510s Thankz! Celtic

Celtic nice looking mod just remember if some other mod has more of what you want with w/e specs you can always just snag an adapter to fit the 801 on.
Celtic Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 Great to see you again Celtic!! Good to see you too Uma!!!

I watched a couple of videos on it that said the batteries rattle around inside quite a bit. I don't know about you, but I had PV that did that and it bothered me a lot. So much so that I don't ever use it any more. Just something to consider. Edited January 8, 2011 by nana
Uma Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Here's a mod that is affordable for those who wish to try out the 5v vape before investing in a righteous mod. (you can get it with or without juice feeding system and various prices). It's only $25.00 for the simple 5v. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/143825-big-stus-box-mods-5-volt-illuminated-bottomfeeder-sale.html Edited January 8, 2011 by Uma

I do find people are turned off by the 5v prices, but it is so worth the prices!! Celtic

Celtic I also like the 801 atomizers on 5v or higher models, in fact the Joye 302 is the best 801 style atomizer out there. It's my favorite hands down. As for the PV unit, I prefer the variable voltage option. 5v is good, 6v seems too much, so being able to adjust to about 5.1 - 5.2v is perfect for me. Sometimes I feel like I'm not getting enough (especially when breaking in a new atty) and I can crank it up a bit, sometimes the juice I'm vaping tastes a little burnt or no-existent, so I turn it down and all is good. I usually don't adjust it alot, but knowing that I'm not stuck at one voltage and have that customizable vaping experience is nice.

I find that straight PG gives off a burnt taste in my "Joker" the original Joker before the AV... So, I am addicted to the 6v throat hit now ... lol ... I think I might only go down in voltage if I went up in milligrams ... not sure though since the AV "Joker" my instructor ordered has some issues ... Celtic

Celtic and he proudly totes them as Trial types... nobody knows yet how long they hold up, but in the meantime they're an inexpensive and fun one to use. It's nice being able to have some money left over for also purchasing the various juices, adapters and attys/cartos (901, 808, etc) til we find THE one we most enjoy using with High Volt and can then be an informed highend purchaser. Love it! (you already know all this, but a lurker might not, so I thought it worth mentioning).
