Noob Vaping Buddy...

What we all need when starting vaping is a buddy. someone you can ask questions of and not made to feel like an idiot for asking. Someone that knows more about vaping and has more experience then the average noob. Each mentor will have a mentor that knows even more.

I wonder if we could setup a mentor type program here for noobs like me. I would be willing to share what I have learned about vaping with someone that is just starting out.

Most people don't like to expose their lack of knowledge by posting a question in the public forum.

What do you think?

That is basically why most of us that have been vaping for good length of time hang out around here. We totally enjoy helping out n00bs because we were all in the same position when we started. So I guess we're kinda doing the mentor thing now if you want to think of it that way. There is always going to be someone close by on Vapor Talk that will be willing and able to help you out.

I think it's good to be exposed to different opinions, which is what makes the forum work so well. What may work for me may not work some someone else. It's a pretty friendly environment here and we encourage noobs to ask questions. I hope nobody is afraid to ask anything.

Just a suggestion to help like minded people ask questions of like minded people. More of a social group to help people bond. Yeah know what you are thinking, we all vape that's why we are here. But how do you answer questions like. What is the best PV, or Juice? Easy, personal preference. Right?

I am not sure if the forum will or can do this, but I would like to join a group of eGo, dripping, Sweet eJuice, Michigan vapers.

Something like a quiz and then end it will a suggested group of like minded folks.

The part the troubles me the most about suggesting something to someone I don't know is that so much of this stuff is personal preference.

Of course I HAD to take that dang quiz you linked..... which all makes sense considering I now have a Smokie Black Metallic/Vari-Volt Saber Touch coming now. (What was I supposed to do...I simply couldn't resist the 30% discount Sir Lawrence was offering up the other night!)

It's a terrible addiction I tell you!! :wallbash:

What E-Cigarette is Right for You?

Your Result: Mods

You need a serious e-cig that means serious business. Big battery life, big versatility, big power, but of course, also a bigger size. Not all mods are giants - some are quite small. But if you need a bit more from your e-cig, this is where you want to look. There are many models, that offer everything from days of battery life to juice-feeding to variable voltage, or maybe just a piece of mechanical art. Find your e-cig soul mate.

Result Breakdown:

89% Mods

56% eGo

29% Joye 510

9% Kr808D-1

there are no stupid questions, just stupid people.. hehehe.

in all seriousness thats why i started the noob guide.

as of right now its sort of a mess but what i figure ill do is backtrack all my newbie posts and then sort out info as best i can.

kind of like a what to know, in a timeline of when you need to know it.

so the start would be for people that have no clue and end at the point of "im a vape god and can mod a coconut into a 1.21 jigawatt device"

soon as i get the kids into bed i'll get cracking on some of that.

I consider this whole forum my vaping buddies. I enjoy the habit out and about and at home but honestly no one I actually know uses an e-cig. (They are either non-smokers or prefer the analog cig habit. I don't hang out with too many that actually smoke anymore) I LOVE vaping though! If I have questions I know I can post on here and usually get an answer within a short time.
