Ego Mega Cartos - Disassemble?

Just got an eGo that came with a few mega flat-tipped cartos. One problem with the flat tip is it doesn't line up correctly for button access. All I want to do is rotate it a little.

Does anyone know how to breat this thing loose from the connector so I can rotate it? What in the heck did they use to glue these things down?

Any thoughts?

leave it a little loose?

theres really no sure fire way to always get them lined up.

I have one battery that those will fit perfectly lined up. All the others I have to leave loose like Jolly suggested. It's just a quarter turn or so, and still works nicely. Neat idea though to try to realign the carto onto it's own thread tho.

Thanks, I tried leaving it loose and it won't connect. In my case, I have to tighten it or it won't work.

could but a thin layer of solder on the end to try and raise it up a bit. worse case, it doesn't line up... lol

Tried to turn mine..killed it....don't try it.

Thanks for the advice. I don't particularly like them anyway... but I always like to figure out how to make something work better.
