chicopee
Ok - what's a low resistant battery???? I'm thinking about ordering a D1, pigcig this week - I've seen the XL and low resistant batteries.. I think that I will probably just pass up any starter kit and go for the gusto. I know what I won't order already - learned that the 2 I purchased are lame. HAHAHAHA. Also, how do you calculate how much juice you need for a week or two??? a month? I ordered the Marlbro and I'm looking at RY4 (or whatever it is). I love Caramel and Spearmint - hated menthols. Does that make any sense? And....since I'm a gurl, I love chocolate. -Chic
mcquinn
I have not heard of low resistance batteries ,but I have heard of low resistance atties and carto's.They give you the effect of vaping at a higher voltage. As far as liquid goes I have been vaping for over a year and a half and I go through 30 to 45 ml a week.Make sure to keep plenty of liquid and atties/carto's on hand as it bites to be out and waiting for the mailman. AimeeG
Ummmm.... a low resistant battery? Now I've heard of low resistance cartomizers and attomizers but never a battery. A long lasting battery, maybe, is that what it is? Do you have a link? Juice for a week? Ah, man, that's tough to figure out. I'll think I've gone through 10ml in a week before, probably still do, maybe more. I bought so many flavor sample sizes, like ten samples of 10ml at wordup.com. I wanted to try everything when I started! A little more info, and we can steer you in a good direction. We're here to help!
JayH503
Low resistance (LR) refers to the atomizers and cartomizers "ohm rating" everywhere I've seen so far. mAh is the power rating for batteries. Low Resistance atomizers and low resistance cartomizers can only be used on higher mAh (strength) batteries like an eGo or larger. Standard 510 or mega 510 batteries don't have enough amperage output to handle the current drain of the low resistance atomizers and cartomizers. An eGo battery produces about 650mAh and a mega eGo produces about 900mAh of output power. A standard 510 battery is about 180mAh and a mega 510 battery is about 280mAh. (Goin from memory on some of these ratings) Basically low output batteries can't handle the load of LR atomizers or LR cartomizers. Hard to calculate how much liquid you'll need over time. It depends on how much you vape. I rotate flavors, so they seem to last longer. Hope this helps!
Brian
The PigCig is similar to the eGo in looks, but uses the KR808-D1 cartomizers or a 901 atty. If you're looking for a good throat hit, I'd go with the eGo instead. You can get 510 cartomizers also for the eGo. I think you have more options available if you go with the eGo. How much eliquid you use will vary. I'd just wait and see how much you use. I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day and now I vape 24mg juice and use about 15-20 ml per week. Christopher
"low resistance battery" chicopee, that's the cutest thing I've heard so far. There are 2 popular types of atomizers. (Which I think you've confused for atomizers) Regular atomizer: These run at 2.5 ohms. (Ohms measure the heat inside of an atomizer. Also known as resistance) Low Resistance: These run at about 1.5 ohms. Twice as hot as the atomizer above. You'll notice a lot of strange terms on the forums. This is because rather than just vape the darn things, vapers are insistent on taking them apart.
mastiffmom
Hey Chic, go with the eGo XL. Battery lasts a lot longer and you can get the jumbo cartos and/or attys they hold lots of juice for less topping off. Vt carries these I haven't tried as they are new and wordup has both the attys and cartos. They also have the eGo XL in stock. Wordup is also having a sale on Janty eGo starter kits which are the 650 batteries. Watch VT for availability of his Dulcis, Midnight, and Sweet Dawn juices. I can vouch for the great taste of Dulcis and Midnight, and am waiting for him to be re-stocked on Sweet Dawn so I can try it. He runs out at times because of the popularity of these flavors, the Dulcis is unlike anything I've ever tasted really top flight. Chris at VT and Jeffery at WU will treat you right, once you settle in you will find that we all have LOTS of opinions on juices and flavors and those 3 top most lists. Enjoy.
