Christopher Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Alright Vapor Talkers I need your help. While ordering from China over the years I've become quite close with a few of the people I order with. One of my contacts has a nephew who is quite limited on funds. (They don't get paid much) So I buy him shoes every 6 months. He's asked if there is any chance I could buy the following type of shoes. The only problem is, I don't know what type they are. They only have cleats on the front. The language barrier doesn't really help. They're for running apparently. I can only find shoes with cleats in the front and back. Any idea what type of shoe this is? (see attached)
mastiffmom Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I have no idea. Have you tried Zappos, I have also used Pegasus but that was several years ago it may take you to clog world but thousands of shoes on there. Also Nordstrom is like the temple for all things shoes. Good luck.
Christopher Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 I haven't tried Zapos but I'll check them out. Finding shoes hasn't been hard. I just don't know what type of shoe this is lol. It's like a running soccer shoe hybrid.
Jeffb Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) I believe that is a track shoe. I used to wear them in high school. D I C K's Sporting Goods carries them. Edited November 8, 2010 by jeffb language filter

Christopher Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 You know the irony of the shoes I'm looking at....they're all made in China ahhhh...You gotta love America we're exporting imports.
snubber Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Good job. You just have to love america's outlook. Buy from China to send back to China. WTF
Christopher Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Well I think I found a pair for the kid. Hope he gets good use out of them Uma 1
Vacker1229 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I believe those are clipless cycling shoes.
BirdDog Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) That is a pretty chunky cleat for a track runner. I think it may be something else. Edited November 8, 2010 by BirdDog
Vacker1229 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 That is a pretty chunky cleat for a track runner. I think it may be something else. Absolutely, I believe they are cycling shoes. But heck do you really think they will listen to us girlie girls?
Jeffb Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 They are track shoes. I refuse to listen to you 2 ladies.
Vacker1229 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 ok I must agree as this is what I found for us girlie girls.
BirdDog Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Track shoes were my first thought. It just looked to chunky for a track bottom. It looks like roller balls on the bottom. But why someone would but roller balls on the front of shoe just didn't make sense. Ha! Ha! Jeff is afraid of the girls. Those are some flashy shoes you found there.
DAYVAPE Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 For sure a sprinting shoe... made for on the track and usually for shorter distanced races so they can "dig in", etc.
Christopher Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Yup I think it's a track shoe as well.
Jeffb Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Those are actually spikes on the front part of the sole. You can put in different spikes of varying lengths depending on the track conditions.
Vacker1229 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Those are actually spikes on the front part of the sole. You can put in different spikes of varying lengths depending on the track conditions. JeffB nimble, JeffB quick, Jeff sprinted over the candlestick. Brian and Vacker1229 2
