Brewnet
I am a retail supplier of ecigs in Abilene, TX and my last import shipment has been held in customs for DFW clearance. Shipping agent says they will not release the shipment and I should count it as a loss. Can anyone offer me some help here? This loss will likely put us under. DAYVAPE
Never, never, never order large orders to all be shipped as one unit... at least that's what a few suppliers have told me in the past. They always make several small orders so to better their chances that at least the majority of it makes it. Sorry to hear about that... that really sux. Brewnet
Should read "held in customs for FDA clearance. It has been recommended that perhaps Chris could offer some advice or help.
Christopher
It sounds like you have an honest shipping rep. Truth be told it's not going to get released. I wished I could give you some better information but once the FDA actually gets a hold of the shipment there is no way of getting it back. As of late they've been cracking down harder than usual, like the shipping person stated you will have to take a loss on this one. (We've lost thousands and thousands this year already)

First consultation is usually free. Ask the supplier if they have any advise. I'd also go and talk with the customs people in Dallas/Fort Worth "face to face" and make sure they know that all this is still undecided in the court system. Governors office might have some ideas, good or bad? Maybe that might help. I'd want proof "in writing" that they do have the legal right to take your shipment! I wish you all the luck in the world on this! Keep us informed on what happens! Very sorry to hear this!
Brewnet
Unfortunately, customs in LA, California is where my shipment is and can't get there anytime soon
Christopher
Sounds like LA is really cracking down. That is also where our shipments where taken recently.
Lily
I wish I could offer something concrete and helpful other than what has already been posted. This is the look of things to come. I can't get into the mind of the FDA but they probably realize that you can't do much about it. It really sux. I also suggest very small orders. Don't let the beast get to you!
