Jkimbo
Where is the best 5 volt pass thru usb for 510? I seen one at madvapes for $16 but cord is short and thin, I don't want to spend a mod or kit price Thank you! Brian
$12.95 at ENS, but I can't vouch for it. Looks like it has a pretty long/thick cord. ENS
JayH503
Good question! I was looking at the pass thru's at madvapes and some other sites too! Seems like most are cheap looking, or have the stupid battery (low priced) or Nice looking (high priced) So I just bought a USB Power Pack and cut the USB cord off of an old mouse and added a 510 fitting and switch to the +5VDC and NEG connections. Going to add an LED display later on! (I've got a spinning LED display circuit board that should look pretty cool!) Works awesome! I see why everyone raves about 5 Volt vaping now! Jkimbo
I got one from ENS it is pretty thick corded and works well. How are u using it? With a hub or direct to usb? Have u tried car or wall adapter? EMS looks good. Informative too. He indicates out put is dependent on power supply to hub. I just need to figure out best way as I do not have usb 2.0 and not sure if that will make a difference. Thanks all. Having usb 2.0 ports makes a difference but it will still work with a 1.0, my web cam is running off 1.0 usb ports and it dosent power it to the max, so when I got my PT I got a 5volt AC adapter, just a suggestion bcuz I got 1.0 ports too. bobthesalesclerk
I got an ENS 5v PT. I haven't tried it in a wall plug or USB hub but it seems to put out around 4.3-4.5 volts plugged directly into my computers USB. Not quite 5v but still feels way nicer than 3.7. Also i have seen videos of someone hooking it to a USB hub and multi meter and it ran at 5v exactly. The chord is on the thicker side, it is very solid inside the battery, and it's about 2-3 feet long(plenty of length. The black one is on sale for 9.95 at electro nic stix. owutaqt
Mine is plugged into a hub at the side of my laptop with my phone and my pcc cords. I think that is what you are talking about. It works well even has a red led light.
eruelas
I bought the one at Madvapes, the cable is a lot thicker than my regular 3.7v passtrough, and it's a little longer too. The only thing is that they both feel exactly the same, I have tried them side by side, and I notice no difference between the hit or the taste between the two, Could I be doing something wrong?. I have plugged it to a powered usb hub, a back usb port, a front usb port, but there is no change.
Jkimbo
I was wondering if there is even a 3.7 and 5v pass thru in the first place if they are totally dependent on what ever the output voltage of power supply is? Is there?
