Are All Cartomizers The Same?

Do different suppliers have different cartomizers, I mean like the brand?

I have had two different orders of them the first order they performed great, the second set I ordered from a different supplier are not that great.

Sometimes when I fill them up no matter what they are really harsh. The first ones I bought were not harsh at all.

Any clues as to how I make sure that the ones I order are "good" ones?

A lot of suppliers order cartomizers from the same place, but others can find generic cartomizers pretty much anywhere. Usually, if you find a good supplier and their cartomizers work for you, just order those again.

I know some people that don't order items if it doesn't say the manufacturer on the site.

Keep in mind, even cartomizers that are purchased straight from the 'best' vendor, bad batches can happen.

Yes they do, but if somethings working good for ya stick with it thats what I do, I remember Greensmokes cartomizers and they totally sucked, they were shorter than the standard 510's and they got hot and would burn you witch is weird bcuz it wasnt like you were vaping at a high voltage, the standard 510 all black cartomizers are great that I get, they never get hot and are only a $1.45 a piece when you pick up 20 or more and they are prefilled or blank, hope this helps you. :turned:

I ordered some standard 510 cartomizers from awesomevapor and they work VERY well for me. I got some "high performance" 510's from another place and they work ok but for some reason (filling the same way) they tend to leak for me, right after filling. Don't know why exactly. Might be the filler, but it looks the same. I "think" that these have to be from different manufacturers because the standard five pack have gold colored threads and they look well built. The "high performance" ones have a silver colored thread and look to be cheaply made. They also have a larger hole in the positive conductor at the bottom. IMO all are of the same basic design but the difference is who makes them, materials used and how well they are manufactured! Plus a good QC helps too! :)

i have only had the silver thread ones and almost everywhere i have gotten them from they have worked great. here are the site ive gotten them from. vaporgalaxy, electronicstix, and healthcabin.net. they have all been amazing! i like the healthcabin ones the best! because they have a few diferent colors of them . but they do have hard tops on them. but i just pop those off and use the soft tops i have laying around.

while we're on cartos i have some questions. i just received so LR cartos that are gold bottom. never used them, seem to be ok so far. what are the issues with them? i got the cheap(6 bucks per 5).

my question is that these have the clear ring above the filler, below the white ring. what's the deal with that? i took both rings out and filled it like i have the other cartos i've used, and things seem to be ok. i put the clear ring back in and popped on a drip tip.

i'm wondering if there's anything more i need to know about this style. do i really need to put the clear ring back in? the filler also seems to be a different material. anyway, sorry for the length and thanks in advance for your experience.

The first ones I got were from electro nic stix and I love love loved them, just ordered more but they are out of black so had to get pink. The other ones I got which I just noticed are gold threaded from diyflavor and they suck and not in a good way.....live and learn!

That second ring in the carto is a spit protecter of some sort and hey bro if they are workin keep using them, in my experiences with e cigs my motto is if it works good keep using it, so I dont think you have anything to worry about, hey if you dont mind me asking where did you get lr cartos 5 for 6bucks, sounds pretty good, let me know where you got them I might give them a try myself.

i got em from provape. they're on sale for 8 bucks i think, but i bought 8 packs which brought the 5pack price down to 6 bucks. and yeah, they work fine, just the taste isn't as strong as with the other cartos i've used. but they hit great. maybe the taste will improve as i top it off. i'll post results.

i figured the 2nd ring was something inane like that. mine is in the trash now. not necessary as i put a drip tip on top of my cartos.

I think the silver ones are made by Boge and the gold are SLB. Everything I hear is that the Boge are better (the only ones I've tried). I think I've seen that Joye has cartos out now, but not sure (will have to look into it some more). Threre are probably more out now, so hard to tell.
