Hi, I'm not posting this to be politically provocative. The system of lobbying Congress is perpetrated by both political parties. This article was in yesterday's New York Times, and what it demonstrates, to me at least, is how little say we will have in the process that is now going on with regard to regulation of the e-cigarette industry. It's rather long and in some places a little boring, but if you can get through it, the article is a primer on how legislation is passed in this country. Just a FYI piece for those interested.

lobbying in my opinion is nothing more than a back door to fascist rule to keep the plutocrats in power without anyone knowing...

it nailed the coffin shut on open democracy a long time ago while most american's slept or got riled up over hot-button issues that really have no effect on the liberties of average americans...
