michealprater
To my knowledge there is not american e cig manufacturers. Only accessories and juice. The labor costs are far to high to manufacture these electronic devices here. I have ordered 500 dollar orders from china twice to resell to friends and family. The packages were small and went right through customs.

Burn
One of the most positive reasons Ecigs going mainstream is going to be peoples health, that I think is the best thing bcuz Ecigs would save the lives of hundreds of millions of smokers, yes that is a great thing but the way our government is run I don't think that Ecigs can survive the way it is surviving right now going mainstream (what Chris said made perfect sence) We truely don't know whats going to happen until it happens, I didn't mean to get negative about this situation or even political and as far as American made products im all for them whether they are cars or whatever, Im a Union Ironworker and alot of people I work with carry the American made mentality, out of the 10 or 11 cars I've owned in my lifetime only one was foriegn, a 95 lexus and that thing ran forever, I would love to purchase a huge order off an american supplier to stock up for a few years but im not going to get wholesale prices and the majority of technolgy (Ecigs) are in China so going that route is a money saver in my eyes.....................................Basically in this thread I was asking people if they would prefer Ecigs to REMAIN THE SAME AS THEY ARE NOW or GO MAINSTREAM. Mainstream. I am not suggesting everything have a USA label, I am suggesting USA enforced quality standards, which apply to imports. DAYVAPE
After reading some new articles on the forum im beginning to think keeping Ecigs underground would be best for people who vape, suppliers, ect. Everything is good right now, so many sites(suppliers) to choose from, if you really think about it, what if all this changed, the FDA finally approves it but the suppliers online are hung out to dry and its sold in stores for insane prices, this whole idea has got me truely thinking keeping Ecigs underground would be good for us. Let me know what you think and if you think im crazy, EVERYONE POST YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS......the future of our life & money saving devices! I'm a bit confused by this... aren't e-cigs "mainstream" right now? I mean, they aren't sold "underground" right now... and as far as I know, they are still legal to own? Please, correct my ignorance.

What I meant by "underground" is the current state they are in right now, I guess you could say they are mainstream right now with the tech. of computers but I was really thinking about the much bigger picture, you know the future, whether they are banned or not and the whole thought of ecigs being sold at like gas stations and stuff, I guess I was rambling on in my mind about the FDA situation and this vote coming up in a month. michealprater
Look at K2 I seen it in a vending machine and at gas station. Not something I use, but the more popular it gets, the more attention is gets, and now it is being banned.
BEERCITYVAPRZ
Yeah they sell that at the smokeshop down the street where I live I tried it once a few months back and was suprised it worked, yeah thats something they are going to ban, someone told me by the end of the year, that stuff is a mystery the whole JWH......idk about all that......im worried about Ecigs bcuz they are helping me and I think at least a hundred thousand others get off analogs and this ban hanging over our heads is got me thinking whats going to happen. I've just got to keep looking at the positives and hope it works out for everyone (vapers) in the long run.
Popsicle
I am hearing a lot about regulating electronic cigarettes; and don't get me wrong, it sounds good on the surface. But if *they* get their hands on it, they're going to add more junk to the liquid. The reason vaping is better than smoking is because there are so many less chemicals, correct? So what makes any of you think that they won't add the exact same chemicals to our liquid? Think about it. Were you more addicted to smoking than vaping? Can you go a long while and just want to vape, whereas you would have walked across broken glass for a cigarette after about an hour? Do you find it strange that so many people start vaping to get their nicotine fix from an e-cig, but they still need cigarettes once in a while to quit for good? It's because nicotine isn't the most addictive thing in a cigarette. They add more to make sure you're REALLY hooked. If they'll resort to chemical warfare with regular cigarettes, why does anyone think that they won't make sure that vaping is just as addictive and just as deadly as smoking? Just my thoughts on it.
