Kragax
I have a question for the HV crowd. Do any of you block one of the air intake holes in your cartos? I used to do this with my 3.7v unit with a dab of gel super glue, to get a better more realistic hit. I don't think I need to at HV, My other question is, at HV if you block some of the airflow do you think it will cause the carto to get that burnt taste faster? I wondered if the nornal air flow would keep it cooler and make it last longer. The flavor seems to be better with both holes open, but not as strong. Anyone played with this? DAYVAPE
Never messed with blocking any holes... but what does make a difference is how well the "hole" is lined up from top to bottom. If some of the filler looks crooked I take a paperclip and stick down in the hole and wiggle it around a bit until it's drawin' better. Never tried blocking anything though... interesting. Brian
I've never blocked the hole, but I do think that the fitting on the Joker seems to give you a tigher draw on the carto compared to my SB and some other 3.7 mods.
Burn
I've never blocked the hole, but I do think that the fitting on the Joker seems to give you a tigher draw on the carto compared to my SB and some other 3.7 mods. I had the same exact experience as Brian. For my SB, I used unchewed chewing gum to block the hole. =) once I started using it with both the Buzz and the Joker, there wasnt any need to block the hole anymore. I didnt notice burning the filter when I did that but it was using a degrading 3.7V battery set up. I anticipate you will like it VERY much, as is, at about 4.5 or 5V. Brian
Thing is... Kragax - don't you have a vyper also? For me, I got the same tigher draw on my Spade that I get with the Joker, so I would have thought you'd have similar results with the Vyper. FTJoe
Ouch - my shipping, plus the $35, $40 to refurb or $55 + shipping new. Anyway, sorry for the O/T but thanx for pointing out they were revived.

I used to block one of the small side holes above the threads with a dab of glue. This gave be a better draw, and at least a percieved better hit. With the Joker I did the same thing and the carto seemed to get hot pretty quick. Im running an experiment now to see if they get bad faster this way. It won't effect the Joker but I like the tighter draw. I just wondered if anyone else had any experience with this "glue mod". I am still amazed at HV vaping. With an unmodded carto the draw is better on the Joker than the Vypr. With a modded carto they about the same.
