I accidentally posted my info as a reply instead of a new post, but you can see it at the end of the thread on page 2. I had a quick question though for all of you veteran vapers if I may (and I'm not sure if this is even the best thread for it). Like I said, I'm fairly new to the vaping community but from what I've seen thus far is a bunch of politicans trying to ban the use of PVs and e-cigs. Is that because of the lack of regulation on the industry or for some other reason?

Stupidity?

Lack of control?

Loss of tax dollars from tobacco sales?

All of the above?

I happen to think it's all of those things and probably a couple more reasons we don't know, but I seriously doubt it has anything to do with our health and safety as they claim. But that's just my opinion.

I completly agree with both of you, but it just seems so rediculous. I saw an e-cig vendor in my local mall yesterday afternoon selling e-cigs for $200 and cartridges 5 for $20. The people buying from these vendors are really getting ripped off and it really upsets me. Furthermore, I constantly read about different counties across the country trying to play PVs as a 'dangerous induction system' just boggles my mind. I may be only 26 years old (and smoked by means of analog cigs for 10 years of those), but I've found that vaping is a much better solution to not only curbing nicotine cravings, but also a means to allow 'smokers (or vapers)' to interact with non-smokers in a much better way. There's no offensive smell, second hand smoke, or ashing to deal with. I just don't understand what the big deal is I guess. To me, it sounds like big tobacco companies trying to keep their market and paying off whom ever they have to in order to do so.

It is because politicians don't care about anything except money and power.

And don't forget "to protect the children"!!! ;)

So then here's my other question. Is banning vaping really the solution. They [the politicians] seem to be going after the banning of e-cigs and PVs. Is this their solution in your opinion to see if they can, and if they can't their last effort will be to 'compromise' and regulate the industry? I really hope it never comes to that, but a regulation would certainly be better than a ban on all e-cigs and juice.

Maybe they are calling for bans to be able to regulate them. In threatening us with a ban they are making us willing to compromise and accept regulation. The politicians want to control everything. If they can't control something then no one can. A ban or regulation are the only solutions politicians will accept and freedom isn't even an option because freedom is the problem that they want to solve.

Polis want their tax dollars and the drug companies and pharma companies want their money. Polis don't mind either as they get lobby money from both anyway. This is why their guard dog, the FDA and local legislators are on the attack.
