BreakingBad
I have got myself a Silver Bullet on the way. I have been dying for a big throat hit, and hopefully this will do the trick. After doing some searching here and on google, I have not found a great site to order batteries. I want the SB to operate at 6v. I believe I need CR123's. How can you tell if the batteries are protected? I have not seen websites mention this too much. What kinds of batteries are best for me? Does anyone have a suggestion to a great site to buy what I am looking for?
Jolly
they will say protected. if memory serves cr123 is 3.0v so two stacked will be 6v you may be able to order them from the site you got your silver bullet

They also say that it is recommended to use only at 3.7 volts so this is probably why. But I am not buying this beast to vape at 3.7v!

I obviously don't know a lot about batteries, except that I like duracell's in my tv remote. Sorry, bit of a double post. Computer stalled on me. Jolly
cr123 is a cr123a, there actually isn't a cr123. anyway you need a 18650 battery for that thing. just looked it up.
Jolly
http://www.batteryjunction.com/ultrafire-18650.html not sure who they are trying to fool with that $17 price tag droped to $8 or $7 but there you go. shop around though, get a good price and shipping. Jeffb
This is what I have for my SB; http://www.batteryjunction.com/4parc390reli.html You don't have to use an 18650 with the SB. Altsmoke just states that in case someones stacked batteries blow up.
Jeffb
This is a good deal also: http://www.batteryjunction.com/6rcr123a-combo.html

I found the battery junction site, had this exact thing in my cart and had my debit card out and decided to see if anyone on this forum hand any more advice. Looks like I picked the right one. Thanks again.

Brian
madvapes has tons of batteries... These? I got some 16340s from madvapes and they will not fit in the SB. Go with the ones Jeff posted, or the Tenergy LiFePO4s.
FTJoe
Isn't it because they are protected and have the little circuity board on top!!!
Brian
Isn't it because they are protected and have the little circuity board on top!!! No. Not sure why, but they are bigger than the Tenergy protected batteries and the LiFePO4s. The Tenergy PROTECTED RCR123As (900mAh) are 34mm high The Tenergy LiFePO4s (750mAh)are 34.5mm high The 16340s (800 mAh) I got from Madvapes are 36mm and will not fit in the SB. These do fit in my Joker though.
