I have just tried something that sorta suprised me and I wondered if anyone else has experienced it. I have been dripping for about a week now, and I like it. I like the not hasseling with the carts. Today I loaded a carto with the same red hots juice I have been dripping and wow, the flavor really came alive. Have any of you had this happen? Very Strange. I'd be interested in your experiences.

yes, you are crazy. hehe

i tried a cart after dripping and it seemed that i wasn't getting much of anything.

from one crazy person to the next, let me put it like this. drip = Popeye on spinach / cart = olive oil , with nit and taste.

Are you talking about a cart, or a cartomizer (carto)? Yes, I've gotten great flavor from cartomizers.

Yeah, a cartomizer. Better flavor than a DD I was very suprised.

nit should be "hit"

my cartos only run well on 5v..

i like to pull out my bridge in the atty and just drip for home usage.

when out and about i'll swap over to the carto and 5v. i don't want people whom haven't seen or have thought about ecigs seeing me dripping over and over making them think it's a pain to use.

I do notice the same with cartos. I believe it is because most cartos have a higher resistance than a standard 510 atty and therefore runs cooler. Cooler running atomizers generally seem to deliver stronger flavor. The only drawback I see to cartos (and I love them) is that you have to be careful how much VG is in the mix, if it is over 30%, (from my experience) it does not flow very well to the heating element and is then prone to flooding and frustration. I started making my DIY mixes at 20% VG and the cartos have been delivering wonderfully to the point I haven't used anything else in 2 weeks. I also like running the cartos at 5V and the vapor production is very good. I didn't like them as much with a standard 3.7v battery.

No offense but I think your nuts. I have always got the best flavor from dripping but there might be something to what Burn says about resistance. It makes sense that if the atty is cooler you might get more flavor. I know with a low res atty I get much more vapor and the flavor might be sacrificed a little. I also know that without a filler and just dripping there is no chance of that nasty horrible burnt filler taste that can really ruin any flavor. (kinda reminds me of smoking an anolog to the filter, yuck!) If you people have good luck with carts and cartomizers that's great, unfortunately I haven't so I'll keep on dripping.

Yes you are and burn is right. Some people are all about the flavor and some the throat hit. And its kind of, one or the other. Go low resistance (1.6 ohms), great TH and vapor, really hot but flavor is sacrificed. A carto is 2.8 to 3.3 ohms, cooler, less TH, but flavors come alive. I do 0mg nic, so I sacrifice flavor for the TH because with 0mg, there is no TH from the nic. In a perfect world, you should go carto and increase the nic to get the TH back. 5V works because its like an 1.6 ohm LR on a 3.7 doing 3.3 carto or 2.6 regular atty on a 5V device.

It could be that your sense of taste came back during your dripping time and you can just taste things you couldn't before.I could not taste most liquid when I started vaping and now a year later I am revisiting some that I wrote off as flavorless.

Im not saying all flavors do this just the one in particular. The cooler temp makes sense to me. I have been DD for a bit now and the flavor from the cartomizer just really suprised me. I think for this particular juice Ill use a carto and for the rest Ill continue to DD. So many options. I still would like to try a 4.5 - 5v smoke but haven't the resources at this time. Ive been at this since the first part of the year and Im still learning. :)
