LoriHNC Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Is the adapter used to attach a 901 atty to a 510 battery the same as the adapter for an 801? I wanted to try a low res 901 or 801 atty but want to make sure I have the right adapter. I have the 901 to 510 adapter. Also, has anyone tried these low res 801 or 901 attys?
Jeffb Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 You will need 2 different adapters to go from a 510 to either a 901 or 801. I just got my LR 901 attys last night. I'm lovin it so far. The break in time was very minimal, vapor production and flavor is great. I have not tried the LR 801's yet.

Would you say they are better, the same or worse than 510 LR attys?
Jeffb Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 My first impression is that I like them better. I will continue to use it for the next few days to give an honest evaluation.

Coolio I read somewhere on here or another site that the flavor might be better on the 901 attys and since I have difficulty tasting flavors, I thought I'd try them. I think I'm paying a visit to Rick and Mark at Madvapes tomorrow
FTJoe Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 901 LRs are nice. I got mine from createvapor. Need the 510 to 901 adapter. I just got a bunch from somewhere, maybe madvapes, I forget.
LoriHNC Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 Must be nice to live so close to a supplier. Nice, but also a little TOO convenient to spend money

Good, I'm glad to hear more than one person say they like them. And 2 veteran vapers at that. Mark had me try a regular 901 last month and even with a regular, I could taste more. I'm hoping for even more with the LR. They don't seem to overheat like 510 attys as well.
LoriHNC Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 Do you think theres a big difference in the Bauway and SLB brands of attys? Madvapes carry both brands. Bauway is a little more money than SLB. Not sure what thats saying.
Burn Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 what device/voltage are you guys running the 901s on? I have had some bad fortune with them, really didn't like them at all. They ran very cold for me (3 diff suppliers) and the flavor didnt seem that much better than 510. I ran them on every voltage realistically possible.
FTJoe Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 LR901 from createvapor at 3.7 on an ego/tornado. Only got three, have to get some more. My dozen or so 510LRs will have to be a backup.
nana Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I got my LR 901 from Create Vapor and I'm still loving it. I used it on my eGo at first, but it's been on my Silver Bullet (at 3.7v) the last few days. It will be a week tomorrow since I started using it and I think I still like it better than my LR 510s. And that's saying a lot because I have really loved those. It helps that I get a lot more flavor with the LR 901s. Especially since I haven't had the best of luck tasting much.
