flit Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 In the VT store, there are regular 510 atomizers and extreme 510 atomizers. does the extreme give more vapor or last longer? Im going to need to buy some backups pretty soon since I only have 2 atomizers, and my wife uses one of them.
kitsune Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 sorry, no help here. hopefully somebody will be along with more info. I have only ever used the LR 510 and the regular 510's. I will be interested to see the answer however. always good to keep ahead by a couple attys and batts---just in case....backups, backups, backups
benjamin1990 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 okay nevermind it is a low res atty. that means it heats up faster and it will give you more vapor. im not really a fan of them. i like cartomizers.
Brian Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 As Ben said, the extreme atty at the VT Store is a LR (low resistance) 510. This atty has a lower resistance (1.5ohm) compared to the standard Joye 510 (2.2ohm). The LR atty heat up faster and give you more vapor and better throat hit. The LR atty simulates a high voltage experience without having to purchase a high voltage device. Note that these atty are intended for bigger batteries and should not be used on a regular 510 kit. Many people are using them on the eGo and other battery mods. As for life span, do not expect it to last as long as a regular 510. Some people do report decent life from them, but mostly what I hear is a few days to a couple of weeks.
nana Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 The LR attys don't seem to last as long for me, or at least not as long as the regular attys, but they are so much better vaporwise, that they have been worth it. I just love them!
ThaHodgehound Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 i'm getting just as much longevity with my lr's as regular attys
nana Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I've heard other people are, too, but two weeks is the longest I've gone with one. I'd love them even more if I could get at least a full month out of them.
