LoriHNC Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I'm visiting my sister in NY and she told me she just ordered a Prado ecig? I have never heard of this brand. I did a search and I'm seeing that many are calling it a scam and are being charged over the cost on their credit cards, etc. Does anyone know anything about these? She said it only uses carts and she doesn't add liquid. She said each cart is a carton of cigarettes? I find this hard to believe. I hope she didn't get taken.
Christopher Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 ha ha. Anytime someone tells you a cartidge "last a carton of cigarettes" it's a red flag.
benjamin1990 Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 yah she needs to call her credit card company and tell them to cancel that, and hopefully you will be able to get things fixed!
FTJoe Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I'm visiting my sister in NY and she told me she just ordered a Prado ecig? I have never heard of this brand. I'm speechless. We work our butts off to make a convert of you and you let this happen to your sister? I'm guessing its your fault because you talked about how good these are and she ran off to get one? You can tell her half the folks here made the same mistake, learned from it and then changed their lives forever. Is she internet ready, will she come to the dark side and join the little club we have here? We can help!!! or at least be sympathetic!!!
FTJoe Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 (edited) You guys are cold!!! Funny...but cold. Edited July 17, 2010 by FTJoe
mercesp Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Definitely call the credit card company and stop the transaction...most of the problems seem to stem from a restocking fee that they charge for their "free trial"....and also the trial period that runs from when the order is placed and not from when you receive the item...that being said you have a great resource right here for any products you want...aside from the Vapor Talk store there is a list of certified sellers that Chris keeps up to very high standards...Good Luck
LoriHNC Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 oh wow! I just read all of these replies. I will be seeing my sister today and I hope she can get herself out of this mess. I wish she had spoke to me first before buying anything. Those videos are funny btw.
FTJoe Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 There used to be a google scam like this as well. I was going to research it but usually the answer is just what mercesp said. Kill the transaction, then not sure if you need to send the product back, receipt/signature requested, etc. I'll look around later.
DAYVAPE Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Wow, it sounds like if she's already got the thing in hand... the charge has already been done long ago. I hope she can get out!
