Jus10
I promised myself I'd do a write-up, that time has come. And after I put this laundry in @ 1:18am(eastern), I'll be right back to do so. lol. cheers Okay, here we go. I wanted to reduce my smoking, if not, eliminate it altogether. I had heard of vaporizers and e-cigarettes through a few people. And, after researching long and hard (Thank you, Vapor Talk), I decided to go with the unanimous winner, the Joye 510. After receiving a defective battery upon arrival, ecigexpress immediately shipped me a new part, and I was off on my journey. First day - I was weirded out, and unsure of how to use the "ecig." I had no idea how to maintain the device, and frankly was lost. (Thank you again Chris & VT for the info and guidance)... First week - I was getting used to it, and eventually took the device out for a night. Too bad for me it was Graduation night from college, and by 10pm @ the bar/afterparty, my battery was DEAD! I smoked about 3 analog/reg cigs that night, and ewwww. Glad that experience is over. 2/4 weeks - Getting used to charging the device habitually before i go to sleep, rotating the batteries and atomizers out habitually. *Began having problems with 1st atomizer. *Attempted cleaning methods in alcohol and hot water (almost to a boil) *Began experiencing clogged atomizers, floods, etc., while out for drinks and such. This is the WORST! Into my 5th week - Definitely love the vaporizer, and the only 2 occasions I have smoked a regular cigarette, I was out at a bar and my batteries were dead. Which SUCKS. Let me stress to you, SUCKS. I'm a little more than half way through my 1st nicotine bottle (24mg bottle of Ry-4, 30mL bottle). Considering which flavor to try next. I dont want to waste my money with a novelty flavor, but looking to maybe try something dif. Ry-4 tastes great, but i'm tempted by all the other flavors. I would highly recommend this product. I have essentially eliminated "regular cigarettes from my life. Day to day, life is better. I can breathe better, exercise longer (byfar), i smell better, and can take a few puffs off of my vaporizer every now & again, and that's that. No need to go out & chief down a cigarette anymore. I've recommended the product to a lot of friends, and I seemingly cant have a drink anywhere without having to explain why i have a blue LED illuminating from the end of a fake cigarette, lol. BUT- I try to keep in mind that for every person who inquires about it, I may save people from smoking regular cigarettes, and that to me is worth it. It's also a nice conversation starter. So, that's my review of the Joye 510. Thank you Vapor Talk for the community and insight! I'll keep checking back here periodically, while looking for new mods and flavors to try. -Justin http://www.justinhite.com
Jolly
good review. check the modders section for longer battery life. i vape all day on a single battery, the ulgy injector mod. working on some products to actually sell using the same battery. Brian
Glad it's working out for you! I'd suggest checking out the eGo or getting a PCC. The eGo has batteries that will last 8+ hours (many get a lot more from it). A PCC is a charging case that will allow you to charge regular 510 batteries on-the-go. It's small, about the size of a pack of analogs. I think it will give you 2-3 charges.
nana
Glad it's working out for you. The short life of the regular 510 battery is why I switched to the eGo. Great battery life with that one.
kitsune
Very Glad to have you with us and congrats on making the switch. The learning curve can be a bit intimidating, but as you have discovered, It is well worth the effort !!! As already mentioned: 1. PCC would seriously help with the dead battery issue. vape one, while the other is charging--will definately get you through the night !!! 2. If you get ready to upgrade--I highly recomment the ego. same voltage as the 510, just much longer battery life. 3. I seriously can't believe Nana left out this part---backups, backups and then maybe some more back ups. 4. flavors are the fun part--the VT store does carry 10 ml bottles which are much easier for trying flavors and wordup e cigs carries 5ml sizes--even better for trying new flavors until you find your favorites !!! Happy Vaping
nana
Oh my! How could I have left that out? YES!!! Backups, backups, and more backups. LOL
FTJoe
Grats!!! Nice part about the ego is if you are coming from a 510 set, you have your backups and can use the same attys, carts, etc. The other nice thing about the ego is it's more "powerful" and it won't have that voltage drop off a lot of the smaller batteries have after the first few puffs. Plus you can drop low resistance attys on them, but that's another story.
DAYVAPE
THAT is why I stress the eGo/Tornado to noobs. Simple as that. When I started the eGo wasn't around but I bet if it had been then everyone here at VT would have been mentioning it right along with the 510... and some would say eGo is the way to go. Either way... I don't even use my e-blow anymore now!
