Jolly Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I got my 4 pack of 14500 batteries and charger today for $20 with free shipping. i had to make something today because my brother didn't finish the metal work on my mini maglite and it is at his work. so, i went ripping threw the house to find something to make a battery mod or anything from. One thought comes to mind when i look at this thing. "who needs doctors when you have my machines and their scary needles". i still need to drop in some epoxy but for the most part, it's good to go. started by sodering 18g wire to the (+) & (-) another shot wire on the (+) terminal. i filled in the middle hole because i don't want juice to leak into there. it looks burnt because i sort of burnt it to the table.. you can see the burn mark on said table. this is the syringe, originally designed to flush out your eyes. Momentary switch connected to the (+) the out side ring is the (-) section. the silver is the atomizer. that screw will be connected to the (+) and go into the round dremel buffing pad also in the picture. i put it like this because i also needed a buffer to keep the (+) from the (-) once assembled. also makes a wall to hold back the epoxy that is used. wire leading off the switch, through the buffer pad, to the screw. head of the screw makes contact with (+) of the 14500 battery. Jolly Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 atty - connector - switch - buff pad - screw little bit of dremel detail and putting things together. i pulled the neg wire out then right back in. pretty much had to find an easy way to run that power line but have it short. this works great. out of the rabbit hole and back in the plunger will press and hold the wire to the battery. Who needs doctors when you have my machines and their scary needles.
Jolly Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) thanks jeff i can't get this smile off my face. almost as happy as the birth of my kids, lol. Edit: if i were to do it again.. i would cut that buffer pad in half. i want more plunger in the back side as it is kind of long and sticks out a good bit. Edited July 4, 2010 by Jolly
Popsicle Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 GASP!!! That is AWESOME! The only thing that would make it more awesome is if the plunger part fired the atomizer. But still, extremely awesome!
Jolly Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 that's a good idea. i might make a friend one of these and that would make Assembly a lot easier if i dropped a switch in the plunger. also i would need to get some flat contact wire. sort of like the tabs they put on the tops of battery power packs. would make the clearance from battery to (-) wire no issue.
DAYVAPE Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 GASP!!! That is AWESOME! The only thing that would make it more awesome is if the plunger part fired the atomizer. But still, extremely awesome! THAT'S exactly how I thought it was going to work.... LOL. Nice work man!
Jolly Posted July 9, 2010 Author Posted July 9, 2010 that could work if you had a spring to push it back from the (+)
Roober Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 that could work if you had a spring to push it back from the (+) Jolly that's freaking awesome. Nice vapor too, makes me want 1!
