Brian
So I was vaping away last night with the Joker and carto. Really loving this set up. Anyhow, the light went from green to blue and then off. I take another drag and get the same thing, but it's not shutting off, just the light went from green to blue and then off. Just to clarify, even though the light shut off, it was still vaping. At first I thought the batteries were just getting low, but was wondering why the LED didn't stay blue. After a few more hits (all doing the same thing with the LEDs) I started to taste filler. I didn't refill, but I did switch to a new carto I had filled with Sweet Dawn and the LEDs worked fine after that. I'll be using it all day today to see if it'll do it again. Could it be that the Joker knows when you need to refill? Will a dry carto pull a different load which causes the Joker's LEDs to change? Anyone else had this happen? Christopher
My guess is this, (I've also had the same thing happen) when the cartomizer gets low on liquid the coil probably starts to heat up quite a bit (as there is nothing to cool it down without liquid) this probably causes the cartomizer to pull more power than it normally would. This then causes the protection circuit to kick in and the joker shuts down. (Green to blue to off means the protection circuit has been activated) Although to clarify this I would suggest Jeso chime in
Jeffb
I've had the exact same experience. Chris's explanation sounds feasible. I guess we will have to wait for Jeso to get back from vacation for a definitive answer.
GDub
I've seen the same thing happening with my BE112 attys as well. It actually happens quite often.
Brian
I refilled that carto and it's still doing the same thing. I think it's fried.
actor92191
Maybe Jeso is just a GENIUS and secretly put in a system that detects when carto's are dry! hahaha
