Quick Joker Question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, quick question about the Joker...

I understand that the Joker has a built in protection to protect the batteries from overheating, over-discharging, and other issues that may arise... but how is the Joker 5V if it uses 6v batteries (2 3v's)? Is there some sort of resistor that cuts the voltage down 1 volt? Just wondering since I'm thinking about getting one :shifty:

Using batteries other than the ones supplied with the Joker will void your warranty ;)

Using the batteries as suggested would render the Joker to stop working. There is also the potential of damaging the Joker permanently as it was not designed to run higher than the alloted voltage.

@Chris - I think you mis-read what he said. He's just asking how the Joker is a 5V unit since it uses two 3V batteries (6V). He's not asking about using other batteries.
