With the exception of many of the big battery mods out there most all of the e-cig products are manufactured in China, then shipped to resellers in the USA. In the case of the eGo, that is a Chinese manufactured device so if I were you I'd just go ahead and order direct from China, I imagine shipping from a US reseller will be just as pricey. Depends on who you ask, there are some really reputable UK resellers that have some highly regarded e-juice as well. But yes, in my experience US E-juice is superior to the Chinese stuff. Much of the liquid sold originates in china and is resold.
