I was just wondering if anybody had gotten an Indulgence besides me and how you like them? After I did the reviews and raved about them, I hoped I didn't just get lucky and get a good one. I would hate to steer you folks wrong.

I did pay full price for mine and the product and service were great but I know that doesn't have to always be the case.

Anyway, since then I received several emails from the eastmall guy and he promised to send me an Obsession. Can't wait to check that out! In the meantime, I'm going to talk to him about supplying replacement parts. I could see where we might lose the little adapter fittings. Let me know if you guys can think of other replacement parts you think we might need.

Just wanted to see who all had gotten one and what you thought of the product and the service.

Will do in about two weeks. Mines coming but will probably get here from ecigsupply four hours after I leave to go on a trip. I stayed away from eastmall because they didn't respond to my emails. Well...neither does ecigsupply. What a crappy week, laptop went, fridge went, indulgence late. I've learned to stop asking...what else could go wrong?

I think nana got one, and was in the process of getting an extender cup. Loved the reviews.

I checked the other day and they had the gold ones in. Dang! I really think they look SWEET! But maybe not "macho" enough?

Yeah - I'm not a bling kind of guy...

I know you and I have spoken privately about this Dr J, but I figured I'd go ahead and do a public version for everyone here at VT.

First things first, shipping. My experiences shipping from China (all 4 of them) have been very good. Generally packages arrive in about 5 business days, so really that's not much slower than most suppliers here in the US, while it is more expensive I have found that the reduced prices from buying direct like that tends to make up for it and then some. In this specific case I ordered Thursday evening and received my Indulgence the next Thursday morning. It cleared customs in under 24 hours and was then overnighted from San Francisco to my door in Houston, TX.

Now on to the Indulgence. I like it a lot, can't say I'm totally in love with it, but it's great bang for the buck. In terms of straight build quality it's decent. The switch feels a little loose, not so loose that I would worry about it failing, but it does have a little bit of wiggle room. You can definitely tell when it's depressed, it has a very tactile click when you engage it. It's not as nice as switch on the Silver Bullet, but I actually prefer it to the switch on the VP units. The Indulgence is very light weight, and considerably slimmer than the Silver Bullet that uses the same size batteries (if you have the extended cup). Also it should be noted that the battery cups are all extremely well vented for anyone concerned about a battery meltdown. East Mall claims this is a fully solder-less design, which gives me high hopes for long term durability as solder points can often be the weak link that breaks the chain. The multiple atomizer fittings are great, they're easy to switch out and the cap that holds them down fits like a glove, but because they are interchangeable they can still rotate a little when attached to the unit. At first it kind of bugged me, I'm used to feeling a little more resistance when I tighten down my atomizer, with the Indulgence the whole fitting will spin once it's tightened. I guess maybe that's not a bad thing since it makes it near impossible to over tighten an atty on the connection. The last thing I'll say is the finish on the silver model seems to tarnish very quickly, it cleans up fine, but I'm still amazed at how quickly it will tarnish.

Accessories- So I bought both the Extended Battery Cup and the USB Passthrough, we'll start with the Extended Battery Cup. The batteries supplied with the Extended Cup are LifePO4 16340 3.2V 1000mAh, not the Tenergy RCR123a LifePO4 750mAh that so many people are using for their 6V mods. While they are very similar in size the 16340s are a little longer than the RCR123a. So this means if you plan to use the RCR123a batteries with your 6V Indulgence you'll need to stretch the spring at the bottom of the cup out a little bit so they sit high enough to make a solid connection (same goes for if you're trying to use the 18650 for a long lasting 3.7V experience). Also as I pointed out in the above paragraph the Extended Battery Cup is very well vented, so if the worst should happen you'll end up with a brief blowtorch instead of a pipe bomb. The USB passthrough works as advertised, I haven't plugged mine into a computer, I have enough AC to USB adapters that I just don't see the point in risking it. But I can say that with the AC adapter supplied with my VP-PT it rips like a champ. One issue I have had is the 3.5mm jack it uses to supply power seems to be a little intermittent. Occasionally I have to pull it out and pop it back in to get power, I need to contact East Mall about this and see if I can get a replacement, I'm just crazy busy trying to finish stuff up before I go out of town next week.

HV-EM8 (High Voltage 801 style atomizer, 4.5ohms) - These things are amazing @6V. Just enough resistance to keep my juice from boiling, and they seem to be built like tanks. The mesh on the bridge is very thick and seems to hold a couple more drops of liquid than standard attys without flooding. Time will tell if these things can out last other atomizer models, but based on what I have seen of them so far I am very hopeful.

Overall the Indulgence is a good versatile unit for a great price.

Because FTJoe was talking about how he wasn't going to get his until after he left on his trip, I hated to say anything. But since he brought it up, yes I have the Indulgence, too. It arrived last week. Mine came from ecigsupply, too, so I can't help you with service from eastmall, Dr. J. Sorry.

As far as the unit itself, I think it's pretty much the way you described it. It's an amazingly light-weight unit. Keep in mind that I've only had it a few days so I may just need to get used to it, but I don't find it easy to get it screwed together when putting in a new batt. I have a tiny bit of trouble getting it started, but after it gets going, it goes together very well. A very minor detail. As far as how it works...wonderful. I have no problem there. I like the size of the button. It's large enough to not leave a dent in my finger or thumb and is easy enough to use. Very comfortable.

I have only used the 510 atty and the 302/801 LB atty on it. I've never really cared for the 901, so haven't tried that one. Maybe because I am such a big fan of the 510, I prefer that atty on the Indulgence, too. I have used the 302, but am not impressed at all. Not that it's bad at all, but just not quite "there" for me. However, I have not used it at 6 volt yet. Because I really like the 302/801 LB on my VP/PT, I'm thinking I may be a little more impressed with it when I use the 6v batts. We'll see. Of course that's just my opinion of the atty and has nothing to do with the unit itself.

When my Indulgence was ordered, they didn't have the extender cups in yet, so I've only used it with the pt and the batts it came with. Both of which work very well. I've been alternating between batts and pt since it arrived and I'd have to say it seems to work about the same with each. I'm anxious to try it with the other batts when they get here. I ordered the batts and the extender cup and they have been shipped. Should be here tomorrow or Friday. I really debated with myself about even getting the extender cup, but I really wanted the 18650 batts because of how long they last. That's a big deal with me. My only concern with the extender cup is how long it makes the unit overall. With the original battery cup, it's the perfect length to fit comfortably in and be hidden by my hand. I do like that. I'm sure I'll be fine with the extended length of the unit...especially because of how light-weight it is. I've never tried any 6v unit before, so I have no idea what I will think of that. I do like 5v though, so I might just like the 6v.

I think replacement parts are a very good idea. The adapter parts are very small and could be easily lost. For now, I'm leaving the adapters on an atty even when not in use so as to maybe help with keeping track of them. I can't think of any other replacement parts right now. Other than the piece with the button on it. If something went wrong with that, it would be a lot better to replace just that part instead having to buy a complete new unit.

Sniff...sniff.

I'll be able to talk to the 6V on the 510 3.5 ohm atty I got. I really wanted it for the 3.7V with the low res attys but that will have to wait as well. I got the 18650 battery but could care less about battery life (at least that much) but they are cheap enough. Maybe the cartos and the battery will make this go on and on and on...

Now see, that's why I hated to say anything, FTJoe. I didn't want to make you feel bad. And if GDub's post would have come up before I started writing, I probably wouldn't have said anything anyway. His post made mine look...well...not so great. <_<

I'm waiting on the low res attys, too. I was going to get the 510 HV attys and somehow didn't get them ordered. I do have a couple of 302's to use at HV though. I will order the 510 HV when I can also get the low res attys. And a few other attys, too. My stock pile is getting too low.

Both posts are chock full of info, and I'm still holding out hope I at least get the cart so I can play!!!

Well all my whining paid off. Might get the indulgence today or tomorrow. Folks at ecigsupply responded and are very nice, already gave me the $10 difference in price, offered two batteries up because of the description on their site. I'll cut open a thread in supplier once I get to play which will be the vacation (hoping)...

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Be sure and let us know what you think of it when you finally get it.

I may have to order this. I love units that stock the 901 threads, I hate using adapters. The price I don't see why it's not worth a try. I guess I'll continue to watch reviews online. Thanks for the long reviews!
