Uma
Ordered Janty eGo backup kit + some 510 carto's on Friday during a slight dry spell. Hubby hiked home with both pkgs today! Both Janty &Liquidexpress were super fast shipping. Love both products. The Ego this time is a mat black and feels rubberery. So nice to be able to keep my original eGo set separate for warranty purposes. Plus it's nice holding in the snow cold. (My original eGo set is shiny slick black Very classy). . Nice, congrats,Let us know how the cartos work out. I really want to try these but the burn issue is holding me back. I love the look and small size of the TorneGo,but can't justify it for myself due to the high cost of batt.replacements.I've been using the DSE905 for several weeks and I like it so far.The cost of 14500's is only $5-8 bucks + shipping and the chargers are about the same price.I'm thinking if the 905 fails I might replace it with a VYPR,little brother to the VP2,they seem to be good quality mods. So far I'm still using the original atty and batt's. on the 905 with good results,so it may be awhile before I swap to something else. Also my redneck 5V is still going strong so I've got a bit of variety Edited April 6, 2010 by joe2003

Is it a small light comfy unit? I got the 905 cause I didn't want a big PV

I got the 905 cause I didn't want a big PV As far as mods go, I'd have to say that yes, it is small, light and comfy. There's a pic attached to a post I made in the review thread; size wise, it's just under 5 inches with my 510 to 901 adapter + 808 cartos and it's not much thicker than a AA battery. Uma
Nice, congrats,Let us know how the cartos work out.Dang, these are nice! They do vary in temperment, but overall they're fantastic. Vapeing all day on one carto is like a dream come true. I really want to try these but the burn issue is holding me back. Hopefully there is a small hint of that burn flavor before it gets that point. I've noticed a small change in flavor at the end of the day... so have set aside to refill with bottled juice. So far, I haven't hit the burn. I love the look and small size of the TorneGo,but can't justify it for myself due to the high cost of batt.replacements. Janty has a 6 month warranty on their batteries, and I'm already having to send one back in for replacement.(one of my original batts from January) To me, they actually save money in the long run. Plus, being a full-time camper, off grid, I need long lasting batteries that charge really fast like Janty eGo's do/are I've been using the DSE905 for several weeks and I like it so far.The cost of 14500's is only $5-8 bucks + shipping and the chargers are about the same price.I'm thinking if the 905 fails I might replace it with a VYPR,little brother to the VP2,they seem to be good quality mods. If you get the Vypr, be sure to let us know how goes it. I'm very interested in a purple one .. a few months down the road. So far I'm still using the original atty and batt's. on the 905 with good results,so it may be awhile before I swap to something else. The 905 sounds like a winner for you, I wouldn't change a thing. Stick with what works best for you personally. I almost got the SB for my backup, but decided to wait a month for the PT option. plus the eGo is working sweeeeet for me. Also my redneck 5V is still going strong so I've got a bit of variety oh yeahhhh

The vypr is a sweet looking pv. Does it handle an LR atty ok? How long do the batteries last? How long do they take to charge? (oh the things that concern me lol, but sad but true). hmmmm, maybe you can start a VYPR thread? (so I don't get lost when searching for VYPR info). All I can really speak on is battery life since I haven't messed with any of the LR attys yet; batteries seem to last me 8 hours of moderate to heavy vaping and the charging time seems to be between 3 and 4 hours with the charger that I got from Vaprlife. joe2003
Dang it Uma,I'm really sorry.I hijacked your thread and didn't realize it until tonight. My apologies to you! As for the 14500 batts I get 1-2 days of use,but I have a few analogs and evenings I use the redneck 5v in between.Charging usually takes ~4 hrs. Uma
ahhh don't sweat it Joe! I've been known to hijack before .... it's hard not to do when the excitement and curiosity within us. So much to learn, try, so little time... Those 4-6 hour charges are problematic for me in my situation... I envy those who can get whatever they dang well want. Me? I have to consider the weirdest of things. lol

Uma
In the summer I'll be able to use one that plugs into the wall overnight at my kid's house. Will the Vypr be okay on the charger overnight? The SB sure can, so there's another option for me. I guess I'm finicky eh? Need battery that zoom charges and a battery that takes all night lol.
