I am wondering why they are trying to ban ecigs but this is some how ok? Suicide really touches a nerve with me because I have lost loved ones this way. But this has to seem screwed up to every one.

I am wondering why they are trying to ban ecigs but this is some how ok? Suicide really touches a nerve with me because I have lost loved ones this way. But this has to seem screwed up to every one.

Simple answer - because they studied Chantix, there is a label with warnings. E-cigs do not have that. I'm sure everyone is tired of me saying that, but that's why we are in a tough spot. Logic has nothing to do with it, rules is rules and honestly, when they find out the attys are made of lead, who'll be crying then? We are on the bleeding edge here, will it go mainstream, I don't know. If it doesn't its because gov knows they won't get their taxes, pharma knows they won't sell their drugs and tobacco knows they won't sell their cigs if it does and they will sic their FDA dog on it. To get approved, it requires FDA approval, I just don't see a way around it, right now under the radar, not sure for how long. The companies with the best shot at doing studies are pretty much all about the money and product is not very good. I'm serious, I am waiting for the first 5 year old to down a bottle of juice, then it will be over for good. Sucks, but if approved, it would be a shame, but not over with because you get a childproof cap and a warning to keep out of reach of children. Its a "you can't sue me label".

You have some very valid points there. It really gets to me that if we are banned the alternatives are so horrible and do not work.

This is terrible. Just absolutely dreadful.

As ex-smokers, I'm sure everyone here has heard horror stories about Chantix. They're all true. My wife tried it for 2 days, but couldn't continue. It really did send her over the edge. Chantix is dangerous.

Upon reading the article it sounds like this has happened many times before to other unfortunate people.... It's just terrible.
