Juice Differences At 3.7V Vs 5V?

Not positive this is the right venue for this question but I wanted to get the widest audience for it I could, so I started it here. Mods, please move as you see fit, with my apology.

Occasionally I've heard you knowledgeable and experienced vapers say that a particular e-liquid tastes better at 5V (or 6) than at 3.7V. Or simply that you prefer some juice at a different voltage. My question addresses this in two ways.

First, is this really true? What I think I really mean is, among you folks who have used the same liquids in both devices, have you consistently noticed the same response? Really?

And if you have (my personal bias is to hope that you have), which juices, or possibly which constituents in the juice, were different or helped to make the difference? For example, tobacco flavors are better at highter voltage than frooty ones. Or, caramel tastes sweeter at 3.7V and burnt at 5V. See where I'm going?

Possibly this is too general a question for too complex of a subject. If the replies (I'm hoping for a Lot!) suggest it, perhaps I'll break this down some more to try to get to what's really going on. Ultimately I'd like to use this info in my own e-liquid experiments...

Im not a juice supplier and i do not make my own juice, but i do have a lot of experience with using my 5v vs 3.7 mods with different flavors. One thing you have to keep in mind is 90% of mods out there run at 3.7v, so when juice suppliers make there batches they are more than likely tested with 3.7v mods. I do not know of too many 5v mods that are out besides modding them yourself. So with this in mind suppliers likely test flavor/ vapor production etc using 3.7v. 5v of course is going to draw more power which in turn runs alot hotter in a shorter period of time in my experience, so the juice is more than likely going to burn faster/ taste different. This is not written in stone by any means but common sense you could say. I could be wrong? But i have noticed you lose flavor with certain juices using my 5v vs my slow cookin 3.7v

Most fruity flavors that I prefer, like Grape Soda, lose flavor and have a weird, dull, stale like taste to them at 5v. I assume it's because the liquid is heating at a higher temperature. 3.7v seems to be the perfect medium for me. I love the protege passthrough but the vppt plugged into the wall is just way to much for me. I get used to the way certain flavors taste and when that gets altered, it's usually not a good thing.

I'm not a real flavor freak but I have noticed that vaping at 6V or greater really tastes nasty. I think it's actually burning the juice rather than boiling it. Nhaler makes a high voltage juice but it doesn't seem to help in my opinion. I have more comments in my video on 7V vaping post in the videos section.

But I can sense that there's going to be a lot of experimentation in my future, because I'm determined to figure out how to make juice that works at higher voltage if there's any way at all. I am a voltage freak, it's just that simple.

This might be as simple as limiting which flavors are used (like those with no or little sugar for example) and more flavoring in the mix. I also suspect that there could be an interaction between flavor and PG vs VG. Anyway, unless someone here solves this issue for me (which would for sure be my preference ), I'll be working to figure that out.

Welcome to the high voltage club! I've been vaping at 7.4V for the past couple of weeks. Someday, I'm going to blow myself up!

As for juice, I found that my home brew using VG tastes better to me. I take Jeff or Arno's 32mg and mix it 50/50 with VG. Maybe the VG has a slightly higher vaporization point? Anyway, that seems to taste best to me personally at 6-7.4V.

I can't wait until eastmall comes back online after the Chinese New Year. I'm itching to try the Indugence now that the Joker is not an option.
