DasBeanz Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I have a VP1 and an eGo. I now want to move up to a higher voltage. I would like one that is small around, as close to the VP1. Or just the best HV unit out there. Any suggestions?
GDub Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Wait for the Joker from Vaprlife... 5V and not much bigger than a VP2.
Brian Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I continue to use my VP2 and Spade for daily vape, but use my VP/PT at 5v in the evening and weekends at my computer. If you're looking strictly for a portable unit, there are many to chose from. It will probably be a matter of personal preference. Just a few: Silver Bullet Chuck Super-Six The GG Models The only HV I've used is the VP/PT, which I highly recommend. Can't help on the others, except that some of them are pretty expensive.
jmhester Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I've been poking around with HV units for awhile and still haven't found the holy grail. But I can tell you what I've found out. I have a Xhaler (check out my video review) and have enjoyed using it. It can use 3.0V bats or 3.7V bats. I've tried them both and 3.7V is way too much. It burns the juice and it tastes terrible! I don't notice much difference between 5v and 6v. I've heard it said the 5v is the sweet spot and I wouldn't doubt that. The eastmall Indulgence looks pretty nice and will run at 3.7 or 6. I got a DSE905 that with a slight mod can run 2 3.0v batts. I haven't done the mod yet so I can't say how good it is. The DSE905 is very small, though. Much smaller than the Vp units or the Xhaler. I was looking at the chuck, too. It can run 3.7 or 6. I think for what you are looking for, I would get a DSE905 and 2 RCR123 3.0v batteries. Assuming you are a little bit handy, you can mod it pretty easy. It's much smaller and is pretty cheap. In hunting around I've found them for like $55-60. You might want to check out these guys. They have a cool looking 3.7/6v unit but, alas, it is out of stock.
