Snik Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Has anyone gone to their health/life insurance companies and gotten unrated for tobacco use after going to vaping? I'm just wondering what their position is, if they have one.
Christopher Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Because the electronic cigarette is such a new product they file it under "nicotine use" and you are subject to higher premiums.

Net is the test for tobacco use is nicotine and another byproduct. In fact, I believe the question these days is products containing nicotine. Here's one thread on the subject and a link in it to another, nothing official. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/index.php?/topic/3537-how-to-answer-the-following-question/page__view__findpost__p__29728
Snik Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Thanks. That's pretty much what I figured. As long as you have nicotine in your system they will consider it tobacco use. No other way for them to test for it really.
BirdDog Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Welcome Snik to the forum. Did I miss you earlier? That is a really good question and something that we have discussed before. I see that the above posters gave you some good information.
