Interstink
A lot of use search the forums, watch the videos, and look everywhere before taking the plunge. A lot of us also purchased the 510 or other e-cig for starters, and were woo'd into thinking our first e-cig just doesnt cut the mustard and a mod at higher voltage is the way to go. As much as I LOVE my Black Silver Bullet, I still enjoy my 510. The silver bullet can do 6v, but I normally just use a 3.7 volt battery that lasts all day long... thats the BIG advantage. Most mods offer one huge advantage to your everyday e-cig, long battery life - Thats a game changer for me! High voltage does change flavor, but not always for the better. You do get a bigger throat hit on HV, but thats not always what you crave. But not having to do the battery shuffle multiple times a day is golden. What am I saying... High Voltage mods are great and serve a purpose, but not without sacrifice. With many HV Devices, you are going to carry a larger/heavier device, and sometimes you still want your little, concealable Joye 510. Brian
Well put. My all day vape is 3.7V during the week. I the 510 attys with my Spade and VP2 for great battery life. In the evenings and weekends it's all VP/PT @ 5V with a 302 atty.

Christopher
Yup I also agree the 510 has pretty much set the standard
ddavelarsen
I think Intersink has a really good point. I do like the TH at 5V vs 3.7, but also agree I seem to get a bit more flavor at 3.7V. It's a trade off. Since my personal overriding issue is replicating the feeling of smoking, flavor has to take a second seat. Some day I'm going to find that perfect juice recipe that delivers it all at 5V and that will be my personal nirvana.
BigXor
I still use my first 510 starter kit. I purchased five spare atty's and one of them runs way hotter than the rest. This has pretty much ruined any desire for HV mod's, as I don't like the taste or harshness. Long Live the 510 ! .
WillBlack
It's interesting to note that with a 2.5 ohm load freshly charged Joye 510 batts vape at about 3.1V.
Stirfry
i love the 510. it serves as a back up to my Spade now (which it just a sweeter longer lasting 510 anyhow), and i just bought a red scorpion 510 starter kit for a buddy of mine.
