I am guessing the "cart" is the little filter thing you put the juice in. How often do you have to change that out, or do they last indefinitely?

The cart is actually the plastic shell the filler fits into, then the juice goes onto the filler.

I change my carts/filler every few days--after a few days the juice does not wick as well--the Juice in the filler gets a bit thick.

There are a couple ways to go about this:

1. Some buy the 'blank' carts--these usually have the filler but no liquid. Fill the 'blank' carts with your own liquids.

2. Some places sell carts with the filler and liquid--ready to use...

3. rinse and dry the filler and reuse the filler. refill with own liquid.

4. replace filler--some like the pyramid tea bags (minus the tea)

My preference is fluval 2 plus: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753129

I hope that helps, if not, just ask.....

Aside from times like long drives when dripping would be inconvienient I would highly recomend setting aside the filler and direct dripping. Personally I feel like i get bigger, more satisfing hits dripping than using carts.

Agreed. When I am driving longer, I prefer the pyramid tea bag mod, which you will find linked various places. It's just my limited experience but I think that flows better than the poly filling that comes in most carts.

That said, I also have simply washed the poly filling under warm tap water, blotted it dry on a paper towel and let it dry completely overnight. Refilling is a fairly simple task. The downside to refilling carts of course, is all the juice you rinse down the drain cleaning the filling...

Good luck! Enjoy vaping, it's a wonderful way to live.

I use carts most of the time as I find it a pain to keep popping the tip off all the time.I change my filler when I change flavors or when it starts beaking down and the liquid doesn't soak right in ,I hate having to poke around with a sharp object to get the liquid to soak in.I never use carts on the rare occasion I use 5 volts as it seems to melt the poly and form a shell trapping the liquid in the cart.

Welcome Snik to the forum. I use the direct drip method. When I go out I usually don't have to travel far so one good drip and I am good to my destination.

Direct dripping is definitely the way to go. It's not recommended, but I drip and drive.
