Track Your $ Savings

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but as I was reading thru topics, many comment on the amount of $ savings they see by vaping. Several comment on the cost when first getting started, but then start to realize savings, but are not sure how much. Here is a suggestion for you to track your investments/savings.

I started an excel spreadsheet the day I received my first shipment of e-cig supplies. Column A is the date. Column B is $ spent including shipping on e-cig supplies (shown as a negative number). Column C is the daily cost of the number of analogs I would have smoked (in my case, 1 pack a day at $5.00 each) This is shown as a positive. On the top of the spreadsheet, I have Column B - Column C total of very big font! It's fun to see the progress your making. I recently added Column D, which simply shows 20 (1 pack) of analogs not smoked. That's the one my wife particularly enjoys!

Numbers to date: $53.22 supplies over savings (just ordered again today though) and over 1000 analogs not smoked. :ball:

Very cool Knight! I'm a total spreadsheet geek, so it's kind of funny that I didn't do that sooner myself. Finally I did one day though. Mine's quite informal and eventually I'm going to flesh it out. But I'm pretty new and don't have much to show yet - except money spent for juice! :D Anyway, I'm going to figure out a way to code if for software vs hardware. That is interesting to me.

Would graduated cylinders used for mixing juice be hardware or software? :D

I wish I had done this. I just kept a running total. Then I got scared and didn't want to know any more. lol Not really. I still know the total and could break it down a bit, but not all the way. It would have been cool to have been doing this so we could all compare. But really, so far it looks like a lot of us are about the same. Strange, huh?
