DAYVAPE
For some reason I thought I had read somewhere that the passthru was actually just a battery inside that "kept charged" by the usb port. (or something like that) Anyway, lastnight I was bored and tore into my 801 passthru and discovered just the opposite. It is a "pass-thru".... there's nothing inside but wires and the little chips/button. Why had I thought that it also had a battery in it?? I know, stupid question, especially since I only use my VPPT strictly anyway.
Brian
Some of them come with an in-line battery. It's not the part the atty attaches to, but a compartment near the USB plug. I had two and both crapped out on me within a week.
Brian
If you look at the pic here, you can see the battery. My link
mcquinn
The battery thing usually applies to Joye/Janty products the Joye 510 PT and the Janty Kissbox. They are selling a DSE knockoff 510 PT that doesn't have the battery if you prefer 5 volts. The quality in my opinion is equal just how much volts you prefer. Christopher
Not all of the the PT's have an in line battery. The onces that don't have a battery are usually unprotected. Which runs the risk of a short. (It's rare but it could happen)
nana
I have a 510 passthrough with the battery. It uses the same battery as the Spade. I've had it since the beginning of November and it's still going. Well, I haven't used it in the last 3 weeks, but up until then it was fine. It's one of my backups backups now. DAYVAPE
Yeah, it's just a cheap 801 passthru... but I thought they all had a battery. Either it was in line or in the compartment.... I guess not. Thanks for the clarification!
