Noob With Questions

I just ordered my Volcano "Mt. Kilimanjaro" starter set and I have a few questions. First I have not received it yet, but I have already done a lot of research and have seen that they are the exact same product as the Blu, is that correct? I have read a lot of good things about the Volcano product and customer service. So that is the main reason I decided to go with them. I was looking at going the e-juice route and found Halo made a juice in the same flavor of analog cigs I smoke (Kools for 10 years now) I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if so how is it as far as taste and vapor production? That is my greatest worry that an ecig will not produce enough vapor for it to feel like an analog when I "smoke" it there fore I will go back to the real deal which I do not want. Any tips and tricks to help me stick with it and enjoy it as much as the real thing. Thanks for any help and tips

Welcome totalchaos! You found a great place and congratulations on deciding to start vaping. I can't answer your question about the Volcano, sorry. But I can say that once you've negotiated the product selection and learning curves, you'll be on the road to a smoke-free life. And a healthier, longer, happier life. thumbsup.gif

Ask all the questions you can dream of; most of the people here can actually answer them. :D

One thing I can say is that we all start with a flavor similar to the brand of analogs that we smoked, and end up thinking and talking about every other flavor under the sun. You'll be amazed and pleased outta your gourd when you realize you can get your nic fix and have it taste good too! :D Also, be aware, no juice actually tastes like an analog. There's a huge difference between the taste of burning stuff and steam. Good luck and have fun!

Hello and welcome! From what I've read on here at this point you might be purchasing another unit in a short time.

I mean, I haven't heard a ton of great things about Blu. I do know how well my 510 works though... and my VP-PT!

You'll find what works for you... just don't give up on the hunt. There's definately a learning curve involved.

Welcome to Vapor Talk, totalchaos. I think you'll find a really good bunch of people here who are willing to help in any way they can. And congratulations on your journey into the wonderful world of vaping.

I don't know about the Volcano or the Blu, so can't really give you any inforamtion on them. But I can tell you that you may well end up buying a different unit sometime in the future. I started with one, tried another, then another, before settling on the 510. I, too, needed the vapor and I get it with the 510. So, if the one you get does not give you what you want, just remember there are others out there that might - and probably will - give you what you want and need. Don't give up right away. Ask a lot of questions here and you will eventually get there. I'm sure of that.

Good luck.

Welcome to Vapor Talk totalchaos!!! I hope you enjoy vaping as much as I have. If you end up needing more vapor production after trying out the Volcano, there are plaenty of high voltage mods out there that will blow your socks off.

You are correct the Volcano cig is the same as Blu. From what I can tell by the pictures it looks to be perhaps an M401 or the smaller equivalent. It uses a raised atomizer. This model isn't bad but there are better starter models on the market such as the Joye 510. (A very popular model)

Not all hope is lost though, usually purchasing some E Liquid by the bottle and popping a few drops right onto the raised portion of the atomizer will allow even the weakest models to produce some pretty good vapor.

Keep us updated on how everything works out, if you run into any problem we'll be here to help you work them out! :D

I started with an M401 kit awhile back and it wasn't too bad. The automatic batteries are the worst part, a manual style battery will generally last longer and perform better. As far as the M401 atty, it's not bad, but I will agree with the other posts above and say the 510 kicks out more vapor in a relatively similar form factor.
