Who would have thought that I would have missed my wonderful/sweet VP-PT so much?

I sent her off to get "serviced" after her light stuck in the on position after only 1 week. Once this tragic event took place I had to return to using other methods. I had to survive my days on the "other" (crappy) passthru from China... and it wasn't pretty. I never imagined that once she was back in my hands today that it would be such a glorious occasion! I can only wonder if our time apart has affected her in the same way it has me. Once again... my life has meaning... and I have a reason for living. I just wanted everyone to know just how important my sexy VP-PT is to me.

Thanks for lending an ear. Now I've got to get back to the one I love.

Okay, so like ya'll are scary sometimes LOL. But then I never named my car, my guitar, or talked to my computer (unless cussing at it and yelling "COME ON ALREADY!" counts). So maybe I'm just not geeky enuff? I luv my DSC, and this banana flavor rocks... I'm just not getting like a religious experience out of it.

Hmmmmm Maybe I need a VP PT

hey Dayvape, glad you got your PT back. I've had mine for 2 months and not 1 problem. I've become so attached to her that if she gave out on me, I'd probably have to fly out to New York with her and wait on Jeso's porch until he healed her.

@ TeriJo was that geeky enough for you?

My Prayers and sympathy go out to you for your time of suffering. I would be such an anxious wreck--it would take everything I have not to call everyday just to make sure all was ok......

Worse than sending the kids of to camp for the first time...

Man, I have other units but if my VP-PT died, I would be in panic mode. There is nothing I have found yet (including 6v units) that even come close. Hope it's back in your hands ASAP!

Fondling electronics? This sounds illegal. Or at the very least immoral. I'm pretty sure it's not fattening tho. :shifty:

I've a headache.... not sure if it's a "vaped too much trying not to analog" headache or just a headache. LOL

Jeff, you have a spade too; right? Is the PT that much better, you all make it sound like the ultimate, I can't not have the ultimate.

Hi fran, the PT vapes at 5volts (when plugged into a standard wall outlet) which produces much more vapor than the Spade which is at 3.7 volts. Since the PT doesn't run off a battery the voltage is consistent and doesn't drop off like battery operated PV's do. I use my Spade on the go and my PT at home. Sometimes I get carried away with the PT at home and have to slow it down and go back to the Spade.

You're a female... you're not supposed to understand us and our electronics infatuation.

JUST MY LUCK!!! I get my VPPT back from being "repaired" and use it for 3 or 4 days....

And the SAME THING happens again. The thing won't turn off again now.

Very disapointing I must say. I certainly hope this time someone will send me a new unit.

Of course .... I have to pay to ship this junk one back AGAIN.

How frustrating.

Man, that's awful!!! We're going to need a lemon law on PV's. :veryangry:

I hate to say it, but mine's going back today too, same issue. I'm told that it's a bad transistor, which supports my initial thought that Jeso was unfortunate enough to recieve a batch of faulty components. I sincerely hope that he's thrown that bunch away and is using a different source for the repairs -- though DAYVAPE's experience suggests not.

What really makes me feel bad is that based on my raving my brother ordered a VP PT Monday - before mine went bad yesterday and I learned so many others are having the same issue. I know there have been problems with the Spade too, which is when I began thinking there was a component issue. I'm convinced this won't go away until the current stock of parts is turned over. I hope that's been taken care of.

Anyway, back to my VP2, which, thankfully, is working just fine. I like the 510s on it too.

Man, I sure hope they all get fixed pronto... and with the newer/larger transistors!
