nana Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 The title on this post may sound odd to some of you, but for me, the person who hasn't been able to taste very many juices, it's reason to jump for joy!! I got an order in the mail today from Ecigsupply. I had ordered some 801 carts - more on that in a minute - a couple of attys, and just because I've never given up hope on tasting some kind of juice, someday, I ordered a bottle of their bubble gum flavored juice. I can taste it! Now to be completely honest, it is a very slight taste, but it is a taste. And it is bubble gum. And it is good. I now have hope that I'll be able to taste some juices. I'm working on making mine own, stronger, flavors and I think it may just work. Yeah for me!! About those carts...I got carts with the clove flavor (which by the way I could not taste). The 801 carts I have now have very soft tips - which I absolutely love. The tips on these carts are the hard ones - which I do not love. Okay, so I'm not happy about that and probably won't use them, but does anyone know where I can get some of the soft tips? I think I probably got the ones I have from Arno, but I'm not sure and I don't want to have to order from everyone to find the ones I want. The other thing about these carts is that I really had to push hard to get it onto the atty, but when I went to take it off, I almost couldn't get it off. It was stuck. And stuck good. Has anyone else ever had that problem? But beyond the cart issue...I can taste the bubble gum juice!!!! I should have ordered more.....
BirdDog Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 So glad you could finally get a taste of flavor! The hard plastic will loosen up with time. I had the same problem. I noticed that the soft tips didn't fit well on the attys I got with the hard tips. I don't know where you can buy the soft ones. Sorry. But really happy for you on the bubble gum flavor.
Jeffb Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Hi nan, this is so cool!! I'm happy for you. Hope it gets better. I know how much you have struggled with this for 3 months.
nana Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Thanks BirdDog and jeffb. Isn't it amazing that something so simple as tasting a bubble gum flavor can cause such excitement for someone? As silly as it may seem, it does.

ddavelarsen Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Congratulations nana! I'm so happy for you I'm grinning all over my desk. I know what you mean about the hard tips, but can't tell you where to get soft ones for sure. My limited experience suggests that most vendors don't get the same things repeatedly and it's just a toss up whether what you order the second time from anyone is going to be like that last thing you got from them. That can be very disappointing, but it's one of those things that will work itself out as this industry matures and things become more standardized. I just keep reusing the ones I like. And tossed the ones I don't (yes, that was hard). I got blank carts from Arno last, and they do have soft tips.

I thought that the ones I had were from him when I ordered my 801 kit back in November, but I've placed so many orders I couldn't be sure. I should have trusted myself and just ordered from him, but I was also getting some more 302's so just ordered the carts there, too. They LOOKED like what I wanted in the pictures, but I guess looks can be deceiving. And I do keep the carts, but I have melted most of what I had and needed to replace them. I'll probably be tossing these new carts, too. As much as that pains me, but I just don't care for the feel of them in my mouth.

You must be one hardcore vaper!!! I have ordered stuff from alot of places also... and I must admit, I like Arno's products/juices the best still.

It was the white part of the cart, that is down by the hot part of the atty that melted. I think it's because the VP/PT has so much more power. I'd never melted one before with any other unit. Not even the VP2. And they didn't melt until I plugged the VP/PT into the wall. The melting starting with the first few vapes. I cut the white part back or remove it altogether and now it isn't happening. But I ruined some of them before figuring it out.

She does warm up the atty's just a bit more !

I know where you're coming from nana; I don't like the hard plastic either. I think of them as 'bits', as in a horse's mouth... Ugh. (That's a word.)
