Well I got my Joyce 510 a few days ago and haven't smoked an analog since. I'm really glad I stumbled across Vapor Talk, it has a ton of valuable information. With that being said, I have a newb question that might be kinda dumb...

Has anyone tried dripping/vaping real liquids, like koolaid, sodas or fruit juices?

First of all welcome tranquil! Glad you like it here. No I haven't tried to vape sodas or juices. But I do know you wont get the vapor because those liquids dont contain PG or VG which is the element that makes the clouds of vapor.

Welcome Tranquil! The 510 was a good choice. I have never thought of vaping other liquids. But I have to agree with Jeff it won't work.

Welcome to Vapor Talk. It sure is good to hear you think there's a ton of valuable information here. We try.

You made the perfect choice in the 510. And congrats and being analog free for a few days!

A few members way back when tried vaping cola from a can. It didn't work. PG and VG inside E Liquid is what creates the vapor. Without those ingredients you just wont get any vaper. :)

Thanks to everyone for the replies! I just ordered some rath juices and I can't wait to try them out!

I'm never going to smoke another analog for as long as I live!

Congratulations on making the switch. vaping is soooo much more fun. The sugars in sodas or other sugar drinks will kill your atty. The sugars do not burn off well and build up fast.

Happy Vaping !!!!

Congratulations on making the switch to vaping! But, to borrow a saying from 12-step programs, "One day at a time!" Never is a really long time, and as someone who quit analogs for as long as three years and then started up again, you just never know. I have been analog free now for almost a month, and I don't think about picking up a Marlboro Ultra-light any more. But I'm not ready to say that I never will again.

I do know that a lot of the side effects from smoking have started to disappear, and I really do enjoy vaping in front of the T.V., or as I sit and read. Just not having to walk outside in cold or rainy weather is a huge plus for me. And not having the smell from analogs clinging to me is a huge plus. My wife is still smoking, so I get a constant reminder of what that is like. So each day, I make a conscious decision to pick up my e-cig instead of a Marlboro, and I think how happy I am that I did the research and found this forum to support the wisdom of that decision.

Welcome to VT and congratulations! Glad you're liking it, but, sort of along the lines of what Lee was saying, if you hit a rough spot and have an analog, don't beat yourself up over it.

Please remember whatever you end up vaporizing will go into your mouth, windpipe and lungs. Some stuff you will cough back up, stuff will enter your bloodstream and some stuff will forever remain in you and on your lungs. So just a little caution before you do something, your lungs are not your stomach. The stomach and the rest that follows are very suited to breaking down all sorts of things, using some stuff and "eliminating" other stuff. Not so your lungs. I worry about what's in the regular liquids we use.

Reminds me of a posting I saw where someone got the idea to add food coloring (blue I think) to the liquid to make it look more like "digital" smoke. Still came out white. They were curious why it didn't work and the smoke was still white. People pointed out they probably painted their lungs blue. I'm sure they're okay, but that's when I realized while this person did something silly, and caution should be taken. I'm sure it won't be long before some people use these irresponsibly and then the FDA/FTC will clamp down. I'm not saying your question is irresponsible, it's been asked and done a million times I'm sure but many think what is edible is vapable.
