jmhester
I'm not a mod guru but here's the basics: a power source (battery, etc.) an atomizer (might just need to buy this) a connector to screw the atomizer to the power source a button to connect the power source to the atomizer That's about it. Pretty simple device! get connectors here
nana
My husband likes to tinker and make things in his spare time and he'd like to try making one. Just to see if he can. I don't know how safe homemade mods are, but here is a place with instructions and parts: http://www.madvapes.com/Default.aspx I have never ordered from them and don't know anything about them. We were just checking into this. We haven't done all of our research yet.
BirdDog
Try looking at Youtube for videos on making mods. There are a lot of people that make mods and post step by step instructions.
jmhester
I was thinking of making a 6V mod that would plug into the wall. Seems pretty simple to me. Just a wall wart, a connector and a button. How hard could it be?
NeRo9k
Not as hard as people think. It's fairly simple without having much knowledge.

How hard could it be? Okay, jm, go ahead and make one. Then you can tell me how to do it. Well, maybe if I asked nicely you'd tell me how?
