Celtic
Hi... can I use the pyramid style tea bags in my 801 cartridge? If so, is it done the same way? I have not been able to find much about different methods on making your own filters for the 801... Are the filters that the 801 comes with good to use or is there a better method? I have actually only found one video and now trying to figure what the tube mod is and where to get it ... Thanks for your help....
mcquinn
If it works on the 510 it should work on the 801.I think the 801's are great as they are ,I like the long time between refills.I do however only use the low bridge Joye 302/Kissbox style atty's as I have found the high bridge DSE's seem to squeeze most of the juice from the cart and flood the atty and ruin the auto batteries.Unless you are just bored I don't see any benefit to rolling up tea bags. Thanks for the information ... but if I could ask you a few questions that would also be great... Are the low bridge Joye 302/Kissbox able to fit onto the 801 cartridges & batteries? I am not sure what you mean about "seem to squeeze most of the juice from the cart" effect. I do have auto batteries. Thanks
ddavelarsen
Hi Celtic! Yes, the 302 and 801 are the same size. The difference is in the height of the bridge inside, and to confuse matters more you can find 'low bridge' 801s that might or might not be 302s. Anyway, parts are interchangeable. I've done the pyramid tea bag mod in the 801, and it works okay. I ended up just direct dripping though because that seems to keep a fresher taste going than using a cart. If you want to try the tea bag mod in an 801, use the entire fabric, fold the 'top' down three times (fold along the long edge), a bit less than 1/4" each fold. That will leave it just about the height of the inside of the cart. You want it to be just a bit shy of the top of the white part in the cartridge, and put the folded end next the opening to the bridge. You can trim the non-folded end of the roll if it's a bit too long. To get it rolling smoothly, I found that starting to roll it around a toothpick was the best way for me. Good luck and keep us posted on your experience!
mcquinn
I started with a Joye 302 kit and right away found out no one sells batteries for them .I found Awesome Vapor and emailed Arno and asked him ,at the time he did not know and suggested I buy a DSE 801 as I could get atty's and batteries for those from a lot of places.I bought the 801 kit and found out that the carts, attomizers ,batteries and chargers would interchange.I also found out that if I filled a cart until it looks like a slushy and put it on a DSE SLB 801 attomizer that when the bridge pushed into the cart most of the liquid squeezed out and in time I ruined all four of my batteries. After that I found out about the Janty Kissbox and the batteries and switches were seperate so if you ruined the switch you could replace it and still use the battery.I got a Kissbox pass through and a switch and have been using it for over six months now .The passthrough went bad after five months but Janty has a six month warranty and replaced it for free.I never did get the Kissbox batteries but I use DSE 801 manual and auto. batteries and I have a Kissbox passthrough for home and one for work.I get the low bridge attomzers from Awesome Vapor and Electronicstix. Christopher
The penstyle carts will work in the 302. In fact a 302 and an 801 are the exact same thing. They are both known as Penstyle atomizers. The 302 is created by Joye and the 801 is created by Silabo. (same thing just different manufacturers)
