510 Cart Mod (Or Non-Mod?)

I had thought I had seen a thread on putting the flat tip mouthpiece on a 510. I couldn't find it quickly, so decided to remove the filler holder (white part) from an 801 cart, leaving only the mouthpiece tip. After a slight struggle, I got it on the 510 atty. Dripped a couple drops on the atty, and I'm vaping away! Smooth taste and lots of vapor. (Well, battery just ran out of charge and my backup isn't charged yet )

It is a little snug on the atty, and I can see it stretching and not fitting well real soon. Any more permanent mods or anywhere to get flat carts for the 510?

They sell a flat tipped cart for the 510 or I prefer the DSE 901 carts ,they fit fine and have a thinner tip that the Joye flat tips.I thought the round ones were horrible.Nice to have options.

Thanks mcquinn!.. Question about the 901 cart. Do they fit inside the 510 atty so that they can be used with filler? The 801 I'm using fits on the outside of the atty, so I cannot use a filled cart.

Yes they fit as if they were made for them.

I sure wish VT store had 901 carts. Getting ready to order the VP PT and going to give the 510s a try. But I really prefer the whistle tip. I guess it can wait, eh? I need to get some new KR batts anyway so will add those to my next V4L order. Thanks for the heads up mcquinn.

the 901 carts fit a bit snug, but they do fit--and work great !!!

To me it seemed like the 510 carts were so loose they dilluted the vape with air.

I've felt the same way about the 510 carts, so that's why I was thrilled to hear about using the 901's on the 510. It's been a long time since I used the 901 and don't have it anymore so I don't remember that much about it. Do those carts have the same kind of soft, flat whistle tip as the 801's? I like them. I like the round carts on the 510, but didn't like the hard whistle tips I had for awhile. I threw those away. I know, I'm picky, huh?
