Thanks very much for this information. Will my standard 501 catridges work with the 801 lowbridge/302 atomizer?

The answer is no. The 801/302 tube is wider than a 510 tube. Also with the low bridge atomizer, the bridge is set lower in the atomizer and it may not touch the cartridge not allowing it to soak up the juice from the cart. Because I direct drip, I don't know if the 801 carts will work with a low bridge atomizer.

Anyone use carts on the 801 LB atomizers?

BirdDog,

I have tried to use a couple of different carts on the LB atomizers and had no success. They barely touch the bridge, and don't push the wadding in far enough to wick the juice down. I only drip with the LB atty's (302 or 801).

Thank you for the reply. I pretty much figured that was the case, but wanted to make sure.

Electronixstix has a 3 pack of Joye 302's for $24.95 - that's where I got mine. I used one tonight on my PT and so far I don't see this being a permanent switch. I'll give it some more time, but after an hour I'm not getting nearly the throat hit that got me addicted to the 510. Don't know why I have to have the throat hit, but vaping just isn't satisfying to me without it.

How's it going by now, Brian? I can't really say much about throat hit because I don't get much of that anymore since I've gone down so low on nic. The vapor is what has been so amazing to me. And I need that vapor for some reason.

I've been going at it since 5am and it's starting to grow on me. :) Getting pretty nice TH now, great flavor (seems better and lasts longer than the 510), and nice vapor. I'm still using USB, haven't tried the wall plug yet.

I'm so happy you're feeling better about it Brian. You know how I hate to give bad advice. lol I was just so amazed that I liked the 302 atty more than the 510 - on this unit anyway. But Brian, why haven't you tried the wall plug yet? I used the usb port at first, but couldn't wait to try the wall plug. Since plugging it into the wall, I haven't put it back on the usb.

I had the VP/PT a week before I plugged it into an outlet. Chris asked me how I liked the PT on 5V. I was like huh? :o Oh yeah the wall plug adapter. LOL.. I had put the adapter in a drawer & forgot about it. Its now plugged into the wall 100% of the time.

@Brian, I hope you find an atty you like best on the PT. Good thing it gives you options with the adapters.

I'm now 5v. There were no plugs vacant so I had to do some rearranging. I'm now plugged in and holly cow!

Great - guess I'll have to get a Joker now. :wallbash:

I'm thinking it may be the 302! Really liking this. I also tried a cartomizer on it. First couple of hits were pretty darn good, and warm. Then it got harsh and made me cough. I had to let it sit for several minutes and then it was okay for 2-3 hits and then the same thing. I think at 5v it just uses so much juice you have to let it set for several minutes to let the juice run down. :wallbash: As you know, that'll never work out.

Foolish me, this is the first I've read this thread - now I'm really psyched about that VP PT! Like dlynne, I'm probably going to have to buy a second one so I don't have to carry it between work and home - and maybe a third for the car? :D Once I get that Joker, what's going to become of my trusty VP2? Aw, that makes me feel sad. Maybe I'll start a personal museum of my all-time great mods. Surely it'll grow as good ole US innovation kicks in. ;)

I am going to throw this out there...

I have had my VP/PT since November and I love it (alot)

I 'borrowed' the atty from my VP-PT to use on my 510 and discovered that the atty didn't work--tried several batteries and no luck. Put it back on my VP-PT and it works great. I have been using the same atty on the VP-PT since November. The atty had been broken in on my 510's prior to using on the VP-PT.

Apparently the atomizer only likes my VP-PT and refuses to be used on a lesser product.

Things that make you go Hmmmm...... :iiam:

I had a thread about his somewhere... there's dimple in the VP units (VP2, VP/PT) that can push the connector on the atty in a little. Once that's done, it won't make contact with a regular battery, or on a Spade. I had this happen too. Anyhow, apparently you can use a paperclip to wiggle the connection back down so that it'll work on your other units. I haven't tried that yet. Just keeep one atty for my Spade seperate.

Ahhh - should have kept reading before posting. BirdDog go the link.
