Coil wire

Hello I need some help so I've decided to go onto build your own coil 5 weeks ago due to using 3 pre builds a day. Anyway my problem is everytime I build a new wire I put it in the holes I screw them in I test it I get the red hotness then snap my wire burns off. I've gone through a hole pack of wire now just for 1 coil. Any suggestions ?

 

My wire if not touching any walls.

My wire is tight together

I'm not over screwing

I start at a low watt and work up

I'm using the tiger wire 6 loops no idea what material and I'm using the new dead rabbit tank

and what ohm resistance does your mod read when you load it?

and,  does it always break in the same location and what is that location?

No idea how to get to ohm but I can send this ? As you can see now the bottom one has gone down aswell it's strange

And yes it breaks at the bottom of both sides of the wire. So it breaks at the end of each side of wire where you put the wire into the holes then screw them

yeah the bottom one is ohms.   .15 ohms

so you are testing it before cotton and firing it and that's when it breaks?

where does it break?

and how long are you testing it?

 

that is very low ohms and it wont tolerate much dry firing....

when you test it, are you pulsing it or holding it down constant?

I hold it down untill it sets on fire while I'm holding it down I squeeze the wires together .

you should be pulsing it in micro second bursts, not holding it down at all.  do you know what I mean by that?

yeah you dont need to do that.  burst it a couple of times then off the button pinch your wires then repeat. should only take one or two times

Yes I'm testing it before I add the cotton I even went to my local vape shop today and there reply was we don't know. Like seriously why own a shop if you cannot provide all information that your customers need.

also,  turn your mod down when you do this like 40 watts maybe , something like that.

 

you're frying the wire, too much power and too long on the button

Yes I do so I simple so it little by little bit by bit small seconds hold on the fire button instead of my straight 10 to 15 second then stop after a second or 2 then repeat untill wires are together

My last problem is even when my coil was built by the man at the shop. Everytime I take deep inhales it tastes burn even with a brand new coil and cotton but small inhales i there is no burnt tastes mine is a mouth to throat.

Would you also have any suggestions on how to cut down on juice I'm currently using 60ml a day I vape at 6 nicotine. I've tried

Young my nicotine but it's to strong

What I have not tried is using more wattage I currently watt at 80 but the women at shop said I cannot go any higher I have no idea why as my mod is 220w

you dont need to fire while pinching.  you could be stressing the wire while it's really hot, too which could cause a break.

you are vaping VERY LOW ohms, which means lots of heat.  

you should be vaping low nicotine at that power, like 3 mg

too high of nicotine gives a burning sharp flavor at that high heat.

you could build higher ohm coils (more wraps or loops as you call them)

 

or, turn you mod way down and work up.

 

Also, some flavors are extra sharp at high wattage.

So more loops means more ohm what so you consider a good ohm and how many loops is that ?

I would add 2 loops each coil and start there but it wont make much difference if your nic is too high. 

 

you should be using a coil calculator for your builds.
