Esmoker87
Good afternoon vaportalk... good morning for me, I just woke up lol... Due to it being a holiday weekend, there's been a short 1-2 day delay on my joye510. Although I've heard great things about the 510, I'm looking for some suggestions on another pv to try. I don't anticipate any problems, I've just been having fun trying the different types of e cig's/pv's. Also, I just thought it might be a good idea try several different types until I find that one that really hits the spot. So, I'm looking into more units such as the vp2, protege, spade, or silver bullet. I remember a couple of you that I've spoke with on this forum have said good things about your vp2... have you or has anyone tried these mods, or anything similar to these types of mods? Brian
Most of the mods are just better battery delivery systems and most of them will use the 510, 901 and 801 atty. The VP2 is set up for the 801, but you can get an adapter for the 510 or the 901. I'm using the VP2 with the 510 and getting 8-10 hours of good battery life. The Spade is made exclusively for the 510 and is also good (I generally get 3-5 hours on a charge). I've used both and they are both great, but I'm using the 510 atty with both. If you spend a lot of time at the computer, or close to a wall plug, you may check out the VP/PT. I've got one on back-order at the VT store. Have only heard great things about it and can't wiat to get mine.

I came very close to placing an order for the vp/pt as well, but didn't quite pull the trigger. i've also read great reviews about it, and I do spend a great deal of time on this laptop these days. I am also strongly considering the vp2, just cant seem to make up my mind on a few different mods. Does the vp2 give of nice thick vapor?
ls1
I just got my VP PT 3 days ago and i cant put it down. It produces great vapor and is alway consistent. Not to mention you can switch back and forth between 4.2v and 5v. (correct me if im wrong) It is a juice machine though but i love it! My spade is on back order I cant wait for that. Yep - you know how the 1st few hits off of your freshly charged 510 battery are really good, and then it kinda goes down hill? The VP2 will give you a good 8 hours of that. Using the VP2 or Spade is like having a freshly charged regular battery for a long time. If you're wanting more vapor you may try the VP/PT first. I believe you can plug that into the wall to get a true 5v, which should produce wicked vapor.
nana
The fact that VP/PT can also be plugged into the wall is what sold me on it. That way I'm not stuck using it just at the computer. Plus, with an adapter, I can take it on the road with me, too. Sounds wonderful to me.

If the vp/pt is NOT plugged into the wall, where it would be using its full 5 volts, is it much different than the vp2, performance wise? Lastly, which one has a greater vapor production and which one do you prefer?
nana
Esmoker, I'm going to hope that someone else will jump in here and answer your question. I didn't mention in that post that I don't have my VP/PT yet. It's on back order. I believe when it's plugged into the computer it's more like the VP2, but I could be wrong about that. It's when it's plugged into the wall that it really kicks it up. I like the idea of that a lot because the vapor production means a lot to me. I would assume when it's used with an adapter in the car, it's back to being more like the VP2. That's okay with me because the vapor production on the VP2 is awesome. The big deal with me is the not having to worry so much about charging batteries. I really liked the idea that the VP/PT could be plugged into the wall so I wasn't stuck only using it at the computer. I could take it to any room I want and use it. So far it sounds like everyone is completely impressed with the VP/PT and I'm going by that. Like I said, I hope someone who actually has one will step up and give you some better advice. mcquinn
As far as I know all usb adapters wall or car put out 5 volts the same as a computer port. The only ones that have a change in voltage are the ones you put different batteries in or add/remove a resistor. Some use a large 3.7 volt battery and others use two 3 volt batteries and a resistor.I do remember seeing where one of them is 3.7 volts on battery or you can take out the battery and push a usb cable adapter into the battery compartment and use it for a 5 volt passthrough. kitsune
All I can say is I love my VP-PT--that being said I don't own any of the others. I do notice a bit of a drop in power when I am using the USB--Laptop. The VP-PT cord is plenty long enough to reach an outlet.
