Vaping Testosterone!

Steroids are not illegal. They are a controlled substance that requires a presciption to purchase.

The media makes everyone think they are like heroin or whatever but that's just BS. They are prescription drugs same as Chantix (only a whole lot less dangerous!). It's the same thing they are trying to do with our vaping right now. It must be evil, right?

Interesting! I always thought that when I heard about players of sports failing the test for performance enhancing drugs that it was an illegal drug test. If it is legal then why were they tested for them?

That reminds me - I think it was about 1991 - a roomate of mine in the AF had a bottle of testosterone he said he got at GNC (I think). I was looking at the ingredients and I swear it said "testees tissue". :wtf:

OK, here's the run down on anabolic steroids. Not to be confused with cortical steroids that they give you for a rash. Anabolic steroids are prescribe for various reasons: muscle wasting from AIDs, certain hormonal deficiences, etc. That they can be used for performance enhancement is well know and is illegal in certain sports. When an athlete fails the drug test for the olympics, for example, it just means they broke the rules. They are not technically guilty of a real crime. Just breaking the rules.

Obviously, possessing a control substance without a prescription is illegal whether it be anabolic steroids or pain pills. So that's where the illegal part comes in. And you certainly cannot sell them without a prescription. So if an athlete fails the drug test and doesn't have a legal prescription for the drug, then I guess technically, they are guilty of a crime but I don't think anybody has ever been charge with that in the past.

Testosterone, on the other hand, is a whole different story. Even though it is technically considered a steroid by the, you guess it, FDA, it has a wider range of uses and can be prescribe fairly easily. For example, any of you guys out there that are over 45 have a testosterone level that is considered deficient. It's called hypogonadism. Therefore, you can get your doctor to prescibe a treatment called hormone replacement therapy or HRT. This will boost you back to normal levels and get rid of such nasty issues a low libido and ED. There are a number of other pluses like keeping you from getting type II diabetis, preventing loss of muscle tissue and bone, etc. Basically, you will live a longer, healthier life. They give women HRT but they use estrogen which is what they lack when aging.

Right now, HRT is accomplished through injections, patches, or gels. The article was just talking about a new delivery method which would be way cool for us old geezer vapors and might legitamize PVs!
