Tam Posted October 22, 2016 Share Posted October 22, 2016 Wire size will depend on what kind of coils you want to build. Do you want to build a simple single coil? Something more like a Clapton coil? Multiple coils? Horizontal or vertical coils? Twisted wire coils? How much resistance do you want the coil to have? All of these will make a difference in what size wire you'll need. FXRich Posted October 22, 2016 Share Posted October 22, 2016 It depends on your target resistance, and what kind of wire you want to use. You will probably want to use Kanthal, or Nichrome.
