Noobie Needs Help!

I'm fairly new to the e-cig phenomenon and have tried a couple different types thus far, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an e-cig that produces A LOT of vapor without making me cough up a lung, similar to a hookah... I enjoy blowing rings and playing with smoke, or in this case, vapor. I'm not too picky on size or shape, but I would prefer that it didn't look like an analog, simply because the first one i bought was the Npro. Although it was able to get me off analogs, I am now looking to have a little more fun with the vapor while still receiving my daily dose of nicotine. Please help, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance! :)

Welcome Esmoker! Well, my advice, as Im sure many here would agree, would be the joye 510. Its the model I use, and absolutely love it. Its a great unit for beginners as well as veteran vapers. Check out our suppliers forum for suppliers. I recommend Arno @ awesomevapor.com, and Jeff @ wordupecig.com. Great service and prices. Also check out the VaporTalk Store, great stuff there as well. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress !

(Im gonna move this post to the noobie section, where more people will help you out !

Welcome to the forum, Esmoker!! I have to agree with Keenan. The 510 is great. You get loads of vapor from it. The 510 is around the size of an analog, but is black so doesn't really look like one.

Since you said you aren't concerned with the size and shape, you might want to consider the VP2. You can use it with the LB 801 atty or get an adapter and use it with the 510 atty. Both produce great vapor, but I think I lean towards liking the 510 better. I've only been using mine with both attys for a couple of weeks now, so I'm not certain on which one I prefer. But if you'd get the adapter, you could try both out for yourself and see what you think.

You might even prefer the VP/PT, but as I haven't recieved mine yet, so haven't actually tried it, I can't give any opinion on it yet. But there are others here who have and I'm sure they'll let you know what they think.

I keep recommending the 510 and it's because I think it's the best. The rest are just the "batteries". But this should give you some to consider.

I do have a couple other questions... what's the difference between the joye510 and 520, is it just the battery size? Also, i heard a similar model, the dse901, was pretty good... do you know if that's true?

Thats right, the batt size is the only difference. Ive heard good things about the 901, but I cant talk from experience. Im sure some other members will come on that can tell you about it though. The only other model Ive tried is the Blu, and I was sorely disappointed with it. Some people like it, but most, like me, dont like it. Hope this helped.

It did, it helped a lot, thanks again for all the help.. but one thing I've heard about the 510 is that it gives off a pretty strong throat hit. Is that true, and is there anything w/ a small throat hit?

Throat hit is affected by juice strength. So, if you vape 24mg, youll get a strong throat hit, but if you vape 18mg, less throat hit, and so on and so on down the line.

Welcome! Agree with the 510. Also agree with Nana on the VP2. Great unit. The VP2 is standard for the 801, but you can get adapters for both the 510 and 901. So, with the VP2 you could try all 3 atty's. Love my 510 and my VP2.

I do love my VP2, but with the 510 atty. The only reason for having it is the length of the battery life. Where I get about an hour and a half to two hours with the regular 510 batteries, I can get 8 to 10 to 12 hours out of the batteries with the VP2. Big difference. One that I like.

I did have the 901, before the 801 and then the 510. The 901 is similar to the 510, but it does not give off the same amount of vapor as the 510. I also like the manual button on the 510 instead of the automatic battery that came with the 901. The 901 was okay for me at first, but after having the 801, I wouldn't have gone back to the 901. And now after having the 510, I wouldn't ever go back to the other two. My mods use the 510 because I'm still loving it. Because of my experience, I wouldn't recommend the 901, but that's just me. It might work very well for you. It has for lots of people.

And yes, the 520 is just a bit bigger battery for the 510 atty. I've heard it lasts longer than the regular one, but I haven't used one yet, so can't give any info on it.

thank you for all the help, i greatly appreciate it and i can't tell you how much this has helped me in making a decision...But I was just wondering, what's the difference between the different types of atomizers???

Welcome Esmoker! It's always a pleasure to meet new forum members. Unlike everyone else in your thread, I don't have any experience with the 510 so I can't speak to it. I can say that the 801 is a larger diameter than the 510, which for me means more juice capacity. That's less important to me since I've taken up the "drip, vape, repeat" mode though. ;)

From what everyone else has always said I have no reason to think the 801 produces more vapor than the 510. "More vapor" is my driving interest, which in some way - right or not - I equate with "greater throat hit" which is also a primary interest for me. It doesn't sound like throat hit is your concern though.

I use a VP2 with low bridge 801 attys, and I'm completely happy. I get 8-9 hrs battery life and I'm a very heavy vaper. Less vaping would naturally extend battery life. The VP2 is a hardy unit; I expect that I'll be using the same one years from now. That was good money well spent.

Your choice of atomizer is going to be a very personal thing. From what you've said I believe the 510 is going to give you the most happiness. I'm going to have to give it a try myself one day soon. Good luck with your purchase and welcome to Vapor Talk. This is a good place.

I can also recommend the 510 it's got a great size if you're looking for portability plus with the addition of a PCC(portable charging case) should keep you powered up with out having to worry to much about recharging. In addition there are many different power sources for the 510 atomizer(i.e. the VP2, usb pass throughs, and several other options). Just remember it all boils down to your preferences. If you find any others you have questions about just ask. Odds are one us have probably used it and can give you any advice you need.

Thanks for the recommendation, DevilDucky, that helps a ton! I'm pretty much sold on the 510, just placed my order this morning. I was just curious about another device though, the silver bullet, It looks HUGE... have you tried, or heard anything about it?

I haven't tried the silver bullet myself but I know I've heard a lot of good things. The only problem with the silver bullet unlike others such as the VP2 is you have to buy everything separate. You have to buy the housing, the charger, the batteries, and the atomizer all separate whereas with something like the VP2 you get the housing, charger, 2 batteries, and the adapter for the 510 atomizer all you need to buy separate is the atomizer. Also I forgot to recommend buying a least one or two spare atomizers since that is the main part that ever really needs replacing.

There is actually an E-Hookah on the market through Greensmoke, I came across it the other day. Here is a link...

http://greensmoke.com/catalog/e-hookah/prod_41.html

I would make sure you know they are going to have that in stock. We've been waiting over a year (when I say we I mean the ecig community) for the E Hookah to finally come out. Janty USA was supposed to release the E Hookah as well and it never happened.

Really?! Wow, this is the first time I've heard of this, and it sounds like something I might enjoy. So thanks a bunch for the fyi. I also have a quick question about your spade... How would you compare it to the joye510, because I've heard great things about both?

The Spade uses a 510 atty, so it is a 510. However, it has batteries that last 3-5 hours instead of the 1-2 hours you'll get off the stock batteries. I have a spade and would highly recommend it. It's pretty light weight also and feels good. Good unit.
