Low voltage

So I just bought a new SMY60 Mod with a Rulien RDA. The mod screen keeps flashing low voltage and at time atomizer short? How do I fix this or what is wrong with it?

The SMY60 will only fire down to .3 ohms, maybe your coil is built too low.

Or maybe you are using a crappy 18650 battery.

The rda is a 3 coil 

It doesn't flash as long as it's below 40W

The guy at the shop set it up for me. He put it in a wattage box and built it

What kind of battery do you have? a .3 coil at 40w will draw 11amps from your battery, if you only have a 10amp battery that may be the problem.

It's a smaller battery I think. And my mod only takes 1?

FXRich is on to the answer... the SMY60 will not fire below 0.3 Ohms, and if the coil is built to exactly 0.3 Ohms, as you heat it up (fire it), resistance DROPS.  The moment it drops below 0.3 Ohms, the MOD circuitry kicks out a "fault".  Try a coil built to 0.4 Ohms and you'll not have this issue. 

As for the battery, please use a quality battery rated (and tested) at 20A minimum.  Here are a few tried-and-true to use...  LG HE2, LG HG2, Samsung 25R5, Samsung 25R, Samsung 30Q.  Be sure to buy from reputable sellers (not eBay), so you can ensure you're not getting re-wrapped knock-offs or Chinese garbage!!  Safety First... and your battery is the heart and soul of your vaping equipment!

That's exactly what was wrong. I took it to my local vape shop and he advised me to get a new rda. But I love the rda build with 3 coils so I got a 200w mod. Now it works fine
