Hi Ya'll,

I'm John. I'm new to this page but not completely new to vaping. I have a IPV4 with a TFV4 Smok tank and

2 RDA's. I'm very interested in building coils for flavor and chasing clouds. So far i buy coils to use. But I want 

to start making my own.

Get yourself a coil jig, buy some wire, and check out some of the posts on VT. First you have to know what you want as far as coils go, and start from there.

The very first thing on your shopping list should be an ohm meter to check your builds. Then, learn about Ohm's Law so you will be safe. Only after that, you should go get the wire, the coil jig, etc. Safety first.

Even though some mods are getting better at showing the correct ohms, you should not trust them for coil building.

Yes I forgot the ohm meter, if you use a multimeter remember to check the resistance of the leads, this is easy to do just touch the probes together for a few seconds, mine have a 0.3 ohm resistance.

That is good point FXRich, that can be a issue especially when sub ohming!
