BirdDog
I was going to do a review between the regular and organic cotton dual coils from Kanger, but decided against it. I wanted to know if anyone else has tried them and what they thought. I use Glass EVODs and a ProTank 3. I have been using both coils the last few months. I can't tell the difference between the two. The organic cotton version requires special priming. I usually add a few drops around the holes until it stops soaking up liquid. Then let it sit a few minutes before firing. The regular ones, I would just fill and let stand a few minutes. I did start priming the regular coils like the cotton ones. It didn't make a difference. Like any tank, they leak the same at some point during use, usually towards the end of a 15ml bottle. I guess the whole point to the organic cotton version is for flavor. Yep, no difference. The price point between the two is usually a $1 or $2 per package of 5, cotton costing more. Anyone else have an opinion? I have been looking at other tanks to replace my Kanger EVOD's and Protank. I just can't seem to make up my mind. Plus the coils are more expensive for other tanks. Have no desire to re-build or cloud chase. Any suggestions? Only asking because it seems what I use is on the way out.
Tam
There is always the Aerotank V2. It's much like the KPT but works better, has the adjustable airflow already on the bottom of the tank and can use the regular KPT coils (both single and dual coil). When the first Aspire Triton came out I really loved the tank -- when it worked. Unfortunately, it would stop working for me after the second or third refill. This has to top fill, bottom airflow control (V1 also has a top airflow control), worked extremely well for mouth to lung hits. V2 recently came out and it seems to have fixed the issues V1 had. V2 no longer has the top airflow control (not an issue for me). Yes, the coils are more expensive but one coil got me through nearly 11 tankfuls before really diminishing in performance and needed a change. Unlike many of the new tanks out there these days, the Triton comes in sub-ohm coils as well as 1.8 ohm, which is my preferred. You can also buy an RTA separately if you change your mind about building your own coils. A couple of suggestions.
Compenstine
Tams suggestion is a good one If I did not now have to a new gas tank for my truck I would get a Triton V2. It's not new..., But have you tried the Nautilus Tank? The Mini is the same size as the KPT 3. The coils are not a bad price and they do last a bit longer than the KPT's. The only drawbacks are sometimes they are buggers to get apart. I find this to be more of issue after sitting for a while. They are my secondary tank now and do not get used as much as before. When I used them every day, it did not seem to be an issue. The other is they are a little more fragile than the KPT's.
Bebop
I have to say the nautilus is my favorite slap in a coil and go device but I haven't tried many others. Works well for me when I want simple .
Earthling789
I've been using a little bit of everything, but my favorite "simple" tank still has to be the Aerotank V2... the V2 actually uses the V3 aerobase, which will fit on the KPT2, KPT3, and Aerotank V1 as well... I don't see the Kanger BDC coils going anywhere too soon... there are too many of those tanks out there, and by offering them in an OCC version and such a wide-range of resistances, that tells me they are here to stay. The Nautilus is my SO's favorite tank, and of course the Anyvape Davide, using the BVC heads or the KPT BCC heads. If we're not using one of those, we're using the Kanger sub-tank (with 1.2 or 1.5 coils), or my Russian 91%.
Squid
Possibly apples and oranges, but the Nautilus coils switched to cotton not too long ago. I compared old to new a while back, don't think I posted about it. The older coils seemed to last longer, but the cotton wicked ones have better flavor, IMO. With the Nautilus coils, the easiest way to tell the difference is the holes in the side are about twice as big with the cotton coils.

What I did notice the other day, was the regular dual coil has 2 small holes. I must not pay attention well. lol Thanks everyone for the tank suggestions. I will look into your suggestions. BirdDog
I finally picked up a different tank. I ended up with the Nautilus. What I really wanted was the Kabuki from House of Hybrids. It is a custom tank that uses the Nautilus coils. The Kabuki is $89 and made in the USA. The price tag and not having used the Nautilus made me change my mind. I figured it was a better bet to try out the Nautilus coils first and if I liked them, then I would invest in the Kabuki tank. I did look at the Triton V2, but something turned me off to it. I don't remember what it was, it might have been all the coil options. I might go back to that one later. I have had the Nautilus loaded up for the past half hour. I really like it. The flavor is amazing. So much better than the Kanger stuff I have. It started to gurgle after the few draws. I opened it back up and noticed there really isn't any way to blow it out. Confusion set in. Put it back together, took it apart, put it back together and so on. It stopped gurgling. I have no idea how and why it stopped. Oh well. I really like the air flow adjustment. Not a bad tank. I also bought another Istick 30W battery. I really like these batteries. They are hard to find now. It looks like most of the Eleaf products are going up in wattage and with TC. The Nautilus tank just fits on the deck, but I can deal with it. Thanks for all your help guys!
jasonculp
Glad you are liking the Nautilus. They are great tanks! 56 minutes ago, BirdDog said: They are hard to find now. It might even be a bit more refined. I PIF my last one a few weeks ago, but it was my primary backup for quite a while. I, like you, have had very good luck with the eleaf iStick single battery mods (20, 30, and 40 watt)
