Which Battery is best-Kanger Subox Nano

I just ordered a Subox Nano as a gift and also one for myself. I am totally lost as to how to choose batteries. I know it needs a 18650 and from reading here the mAh refers to the how long the charge will last BUT thats about all I understand.

What type of battery is best(and safest of course)? TIA!
