Squid
Not trying to start a scare thread or anything, a friend said he did some research and found "overwhelming info" that Ni coils are very dangerous. I spent an hour or so looking for info myself. I only came up with 1 video and 1 article stating that Nickel "leaches into soft materials" (food, liquid, etc.) that it comes into contact with when heated. I did not find anything at all that said it was safe. Either my research skills suck, or he is exaggerating about the "overwhelming" portion of his info. He is a good guy and means well, but he is the type that latches on to something and won't let go once he makes up his mind.Any way, I would appreciate some links to info on either side of the matter so I can see both sides. I like temp control, I really hope he is mistaken. Thanks

FXRich
If anyone is worried about nickel in the coil switch to kanthal, or for TC switch to titanium. Simple solution. Misty2016
